I linked to this in a blog I wrote back in 2012. Just got rereading the blog and took the link here today. Wonder if 9 years from now, I'll come back on here and say the same thing. Will we still have KZbin on the Internet in 9 years? I've been toying with the idea of preserving a few KZbin videos against the day when we move on to the next thing and there no longer is an Internet the way we have it now.

Gig was billed "The Music of the Modern Jazz Quartet: Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center's" so that's what they had to do. I don't know, I find it refreshing that such young guys are honestly exploring the concepts of beautiful sound, seeming simplicity, patience… and a wide wide beat. And the concepts of composing a solo, not throwing away every idea without developing it. Just because some listeners of a certain age "have heard all this before" doesn't mean that it's not valid.
