Absolutely agree with you about the friendless and hospitality of the Chinese people. After visiting 30+ countries I was literally shocked in a good way because of how nice and caring and friendly Chinese people are. China is the best!

I nearly bought the Sony A7CR camera, I like the design with the EVF in the corner very much, BUT then I got to know that it has a small EVF with low resolution and it has no joystick plus the price is too high, in fact this summer when the the Sony A7RV was on offer the Sony A7CR was more expensive !!!

I shot the whole afternoon in the rain and never had any issues, I’ve never had issues with any of my Sony gear that being said. It also depends on what lenses you are using with the camera not all 3rd party lenses would be waterproof

* Forgot to include my thoughts on the flaws of the Sony a7Cr so here they are in writing - As much as I love this camera, its not perfect but for its size and what I am using it for the pro's massively outweigh the cons - EVF - The electronic viewfinder because of its size its not the best resolution and I have seen a lot of people talking about this about this online for the a7cII and ac7r but for the size of the camera and it even having an EVF I am taking compatibility over a better quality EVF all day long. Single memory card slot - I feel like this is less of an issue over the last year as it is becoming more of a regular occurrence in compact cameras, however some people are still put off by this. I have been shooting all my video work for youtube & clients on the Sony ZV-E1 for the past year and a half which also features a single SD card slot and have never faced an issue *touch wood* If you're not fussed about the size and compatibility of your camera then the A7c and ZV ranges are not for you. After using the ZV-E1 i've learnt to trust my gear and more importantly invest into better quality memory cards to avoid any unwanted issues. Focus joystick - Coming from the A7IV it took sometime for me to get used to the a7cr not having a focus joystick but after sometime using the camera I have since set up custom buttons on the camera such as using ring dial to move my focus points to various points of the frame in a similar way of having a focus joystick. Overall to create a small powerful camera such as the a7cr and a7cII's you have to make compromises elsewhere and with all of the above I am personally taking the ability to want to have this cameras on me all day everyday than having a bigger camera with the above.

another cracking vid Bro! I cant tell if you're genuinely super happy about the camera, Osaka or just life in general ;) I also have been enjoying the A7CR, mainly with the 35mm f2.8 Zeiss. Thriving in the simplicity

Thanks so much mate, haha and all of the above!!! Thriving in the simplicity is the perfect way to put it. I have certainly have been caught up in the past of having every lens with me at all times but since the a7cr and 40mm came into my life, I've shot way more photos and just enjoyed it so much more rather than having a backpack of gear on me. Appreciate you watching mate, hope all is well!

Had a look at this camera and the EVF feels like you’re looking through a a 10-15 year old camera. The back screen isn’t amazing either.

You've just made me realise that i forgot to put in the part where I mention the flaws of the camera. The EVF was one of them but what do you expect for the size of the camera, i'm taking compatibility over a better viewfinder for this kind of camera.

I ended up adding both the A7CR and A7CII to my group of cameras. Still have my A7RV and A1 but love these for travel. While I like the small G primes I also recently bought in to the 24-50/2.8 G zoom for more flexibility. I prevents me from having to switch lenses when I’m walking around. Highly recommend the combo. I miss the times when I could travel to Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Korea. Great places to take a camera. Thank you and take care.

When you visit Shanghai next time, I recommend exploring the riverside area in Pudong, near the Oriental Pearl Tower. It's a lovely spot-walk from Dongchang Road Metro Station to the riverside. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the photo opportunities are fantastic! The area is usually quiet with few tourists, and you can capture beautiful shots of the historic buildings across the river. Another excellent place to visit is the North Bund.
