Part 1 of a 3 part winter road trip through the South Island of New Zealand. In this video I explore what I think is the most underrated part of New Zealand, The Catlins.
Situated in the southeastern corner of the South Island of New Zealand the Catlins lies between Balclutha and Invercargill, straddling the boundary between the Otago and Southland regions. It includes the South Island's southernmost point, Slope Point has an abundance of waterfalls and is home to the iconic Nugget Point Lighthouse.
