great and detailed review! How many times have they been used or how many batteries have been used in the car? Is it a good long term car? How about the stock electronics and gears? have you replaced anything? greetings friend

Thanks for the comment. I have a total of three batteries, all of which I still use today. I have had no issues with the vehicle, still works as it did on Day 1. I have also not broken any pieces. I don't beat on it either, and have maybe 20 hours on it. So far I really enjoy it, and it is my first electric RC vehicle.

First time I can ever remember getting stuck. Had it not been for the rock I was up against I am sure the tundra would have been fine. Beat the Tundra steps up quite a bit on this trip, it was mostly rock crawling for about 2 hours of the trip. I wasn't expecting that. Now I know, and I am making moves to rectify the situation going forward. (read as a new vehicle).

Yeah, A couple things happened along the way. First, we talked about Honey filming me set it up on the way out. When we got there, I forgot and got pissy with her questions. Secondly I didn't read the instructions. Don't let our experience dissuade you for purchasing this tent, it is amazing and perfect for our needs should we return to truck tent camping. We have since purchased an off road adventure (Hiker) trailer and are loving it.

You had more luck than I did tracking down this site. I ended up goofing around the silver mine ruins at 39.2965, -118.0625. The nearby Chalk Mountains, just west of you, are also fun to explore. 39.3103, -118.1185 is the southern-most mine.

Thanks for the question. The maker of the trailer is Hiker Trailer ( www.hikertrailers.com/ ). I am not sure what they are going for these days new or used. Covid has sparked a lot of outdoors activity, and from what I hear this style of trailer is in high demand. Our trailer is pretty basic, and has not a lot of options . Which is what we wanted for the area we live in. I think if you can find them in the $10k range that aren't trashed. You can also find older teardrop styles on FB marketplace or craigslist from time to time.

That is a beautiful canyon. I have been there several times. The last time was only about a month after 3 heart proceedures. I thought I was strong enough to go down about where you guys were first standing and decided to go lower to get into the canyon. I tried to get into and back out of the canyon were you decided not to. It was scary because I felt I almost couldn't get out. I just picked up my little dog and stopped a lot until I made it.

Really appreciate the video. I think we have similar tonneau covers - the hard type that folds up into 3-4 sections. Did that interfere much with your setup?
@ExploringThisLife
@ExploringThisLife Жыл бұрын
My tonneau is a 3 section. When you fold the tonneau cover up, it does not interfere with the tent, but on my tonneau, the last section does not move, and the other 2 set on top, which is perfect for use as a shelf inside the tent.
