Really great my friend. Convinced me to buy a Joyo Flanger pedal :)

Amazing cover! Very accurate to the original I have a question though, because i’m new to this and i’m curious if the loomer already does all the reverb and the fuzz why do you still need the reverb, delay and chorus pedals? Is it because its all about layering?
@franciskikonavarro634110 күн бұрын
Thanks! I remember I used the Loomer mainly for its fuzz and one of its extreme chorus just for the solo. Made it easier for me to switch the sound instantly. Also, I prefer the 80s tones of the Boss pedals for the main sound
@WrittenInTheStarz10 күн бұрын
@@franciskikonavarro6341 ahh i see. Thanks for clearing that up. I have one more question, i have the Tonex pedal and it has fuzz effects already, but for you think the Loomer is better at doing that or is the Tonex fine for the job?
@franciskikonavarro634110 күн бұрын
@@WrittenInTheStarz I haven’t tried the Tonex so I can’t speak on its behalf but the Loomer has this awesome Op-Amp Big Muff sound that I like. See if the Tonex has that. Loomer’s reverb, modulation and delay side is also quite unique.

@@franciskikonavarro6341 thank you so much for the input. Does the Loomer act as an interface also?
@franciskikonavarro63419 күн бұрын
Nope. Just regular 1/4 input and output jacks

Roland has produced some authentic-sounding digital pianos and piano modules since the end of the 80s. All the same, it would have been even better if they had stuck with the structured-adaptive synthesis technique they employed and expanded on it in lieu of switching to sample-based sound generators. Most piano samples somehow feel like there’s a disconnect between the sampled instrument and the mainframe where the found sound goes. This SA method feels more hands-on like a synthesizer. Even a ROMpler like the D-50 feels more hands-on.

For anyone wanting to sing along to the music, here are the lyrics: See the people walking down the street Fall in line just watching all their feet They don’t know where they want to go But they’re walking in time They got the beat They got the beat They got the beat Yeah they got the beat All the kids just getting out of school They can’t wait to hang out and be cool Hang around til quarter after twelve That’s when they fall in line They got the beat They got the beat Kids got the beat Yeah kids got the beat Go-Go music really makes us dance Do the pony puts us in a trance Do watusi just give us a chance That’s when they fall in line 'Cause we got the beat We got the beat We got the beat Yeah, we got it! We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat Everybody get on your feet We got the beat We know you can dance to the beat We got the beat Jump back, get down We got the beat Round and round and round Whooooh! We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat We got the beat

Awesome cover, and thanks for actually playing the solo correctly. One minor point, though, in the description it says it's Scotty's solo, but it's actually the late, great Doug Hopkins who both wrote and played the lead guitar on this song, and in fact he played the lead guitar on the entire New Miserable Experience album. Doug would be fired shortly after recording finished for the album, but he's the one actually playing. Really sad story, what happened to him and all, but at least his music lives on. The reason he's not included in the album's liner notes is because while he was fired after recording wrapped up, it was before they got around to printing anything, and by the time they did start printing the album liners and such, Scotty was already in the band. At least, if what I've heard is correct.
@Octoberskyunderground4 ай бұрын
This is correct. This song, including the solo as recorded on New Miserable Experience, is Doug Hopkins’ Scotty, I’m sure he is a great guy, is ultimately just a hired gun that has been with the band since the release of NME
