Will this cause blow by/ excessive crank case preassure in the motor?

Hard to say. How many miles / hours on the motor? High idle time under little load will definitely cause blow by. With this problem, I would see the fuel not being completely burned and getting pushed past the rings, could lead to increased ring wear. Essentially, washing the cylinder

for a while My truck was throwing Cyl 4 inj quantity and then every know and then it would do the pop through the intake and go away. Well finally went to dead miss, Pulled pass valve cover and found all 4 cyc had 1 intake popped off couple missing lash adjusters some rotated lifters and 4 had both intakes popped off. Now trying to figure out what to do. I dont have the money to shell out for a reman or new, Maybe a used engine that I can replace the rocker assemblys. But this absolutely sucks.

That is terrible to hear. Honestly though, for what these motors go for used, I'd just swap motors, you'd be doing twice the work, in my opinion, swapping parts. If you're capable of doing the work though, source a cam and valvetrain and do the work yourself. Speaking of 6.7s, I've got one here now that's got a wrist pin or piston knock at 180k miles

I'm guessing you're in the south, and if that the case, id keep looking. the one you have looks like what me and my friend drove back in the early 80s around Detroit, and that meant salt, plus that motor sounds fubr

Pull your codes first and see if you have any cylinder contribution codes. That'll help you determine which side you should tear into

It was easy! Pretty simple process. You'll need a 95-97 timing cover, or buy their cover. They provide a reluctor wheel for the crank and cam. Wire it, it's plug and play. Set mine up with HP Tuners. But after I bought mine, they made a harness to use with Holley

@@colemanmech yeah I got a 94 impala ss and I'm working around a few performance mods and I was looking for opti delete method ..cause I dont really care about the whole ls swap thing cause u can hp out of a lt1 ..right now minds is doing almost 430hp on the dyno cause I haven't done much work to my transmission and I just did a stall and but I didn't do a rebuild on it

I like that blue in the door jambs, but that thing would look impressive in black, with all of the window frame chrome, and the chrome fender 'louvers.' The red ain't bad, (it looks like a Nova color) but I'd go for the blue or black if repainting.

I'm a big fan of darker hues. Black, Brandywine, gunmetal grey. If I keep it for a long time it'll likely get one of those. Yes it'll look good with the chrome and all. Was thinking maybe getting chrome rallys like on my Chevelle

@@colemanmech I'd stay argent on the wheels. And I'd keep the fender louvers all chrome, (even though they're supposed to be painted, except for the edges) at least for a little while - I might go factory correct on them later...

6.7 has several issues. If you ever have the rocker boxes out inspect them well the spray bars get plugged the lack of oil makes the rocker pivot balls wear out then they bind then the lifter turns wearing out the cam working on 1 at the moment 125000miles. With regular oil changes and always check spray bars to be sure they are not plugged

Yep and ford knows about it. They change their rocker arms a few times. No recall though even though the defective parts are on many years not just earliy models by the time theu caught it. It will fail a matter of when not if with that part unfortunately its usually after warranty. Im at 120k and on my second engine now thanks to Ford. Very easy to prove every one will fail eventually from this. Rocker get wiggle room walks off center of valve stem push rod comes out allows lifter to break engine grenades. Absolute Horse shit. @ford

I remember the old Kenworths, Petes and Macks running the "Iron Lung" or Cummins NHRS series engines when I was a kid. In my 20s, I drove a 1956 Kenworth powered by a NHRS-320 and 5x4 transmission setup. I loved driving that old beast!

It definitely is bad. Pulled the motor the other day, tore it down. Worn cam lobe along with a main bearing that's walked out into the crank gear
