The very fact that Eddie Brock, who lit her claimed that he wanted to be a warrior fighting for the innocent as a reporter, doesn't see the grave mistake he made by lying about Spider-Man culpability shows he has lost site of journalistic integrity. he did this plain and simple to get back at Spider-Man for his perceived grievances against him personally. The worst kind of person in this world is the one that cannot accept responsibility for his actions. Jameson is not that different, as his own irrationality regarding Spider-Man has led him to embarrassing himself through the media, but he knows deep down that a reporter's responsibility is the truth and the paper's reputation suffers with each betrayal of that trust to the public. Plus, Eddie got his job back through lying about this incident and it involved his son. Brock could have gotten the word out about the rhino and the danger he posed, but instead he chose to put his own vendetta against Spider-Man over that responsibility. Bottom line he deserved to get fired.

If you really think about it, Graydon was probably hated by his family (except probably Kurt) because in a family of mutants, HE was the freak because he didn’t have any powers. And that’s why he’s taking his hate out on other mutants.

Stuff like this is why this series is my pick for best venom adaptation at least for the time period. Beating up Spideys villains cause they wanted to have him to themselves retracting the suit and acting all friendly only to transform infront of him as a gotcha its theatrical I love it.
