This certainly can be the case. I’ve been carnivore for 100 days nearly and I’m still not fully adapted by any means (but slowly getting there for sure).

Thank you, Dr.Abs. I have subscribed and watched much of your content. I am so relieved that you have simplified skincare to basics. I’m (ahem) mature and coming late to the skincare party but thanks to your clarity my arsenal is niacinamide, tretinoin, squalane and spf. Simple, easy, effective and inexpensive!👍

I want to add the importance of supplementing with iodine (2 to 4 drops of 5% Lugols solution), especially if you're a woman. Also, Vitamine D3 and its required cofactors Vitamine K2 (MK4 or MK7 trans), Magnesium (glycinate or citrate), zinc, b6 and boron (you may not need much of these last three if you eat carnivore anyway).

I don't see how a depth beyond 0,5mm should be beneficial when the skin on the face is so thin? Shouldn't be 0,5mm be enough or should I go for 0,75 or even 1,0mm? (except under the eyes)

Thanks for this detailed video. Would this mask be effective used on the body for wound healing using the NIR and red light function? Considering a panel as a more useful purchase but if this mask can be beneficial for this function would be easier than directing a panel and dealing with distance/irradiance issues.

FACT CHECK USING AI Claim: "Moisturizers can make your skin even drier because of the hyaluronic acid (HA) effect." 🔴 Partly false. HA itself does not dry out the skin, but if applied incorrectly (without sealing it in with an occlusive like oil or cream), it can pull moisture from the deeper layers of the skin, potentially leading to dryness. However, HA-based moisturizers are generally effective when used properly. Claim: "HA is found in the dermis, and applying it topically doesn't reach where it needs to be." 🟠 Partly true. HA is naturally present in the dermis, but topical HA mainly hydrates the epidermis (outer layer). There are different molecular weights of HA-smaller ones penetrate deeper, while larger ones stay on the surface and provide surface hydration. Claim: "HA draws water from inside the skin, making it drier unless you're in a humid environment." 🟢 Mostly true. HA attracts water, and if the air is dry, it can pull moisture from deeper skin layers rather than from the air, leading to dryness. That's why it should always be followed with a moisturizer or occlusive. Claim: "Forgetting moisturizer one day proves it doesn't actually hydrate." 🔴 Misleading. Moisturizers provide temporary hydration and prevent water loss. If you skip a day, your skin may feel dry because it's accustomed to external hydration, not because moisturizers are inherently bad. Claim: "Fibroblasts make HA naturally, so you don’t need to apply it." 🟠 Partly true. Fibroblasts do produce HA, but HA production declines with age. Using topical HA can help compensate for this decline, though it's not a replacement for deep hydration. Claim: "Real hydration comes from oil, not HA or water." 🟠 Partly misleading. Oils help seal in hydration (by preventing trans-epidermal water loss), but they do not add hydration. Hydration primarily comes from water-based products. A balance of humectants (like HA), emollients, and occlusives is best. Claim: "Menopause reduces testosterone, which reduces oil production, causing dry skin." 🟢 True. Estrogen decline also plays a role in post-menopausal skin dryness, but lower testosterone can reduce sebum production, leading to drier skin. Claim: "To treat dry skin, stop using HA, drink more water, and use oil." 🟠 Partly true. Drinking water helps overall hydration, but it doesn't directly hydrate the skin. Using oil alone without a humectant or moisturizer is not enough for hydration-it only prevents water loss. Claim: "I never use a moisturizer, and neither do my patients." 🔴 Misleading and anecdotal. What works for one person may not work for everyone. Many dermatologists recommend both moisturizer and oil, depending on skin type. Final Verdict: The video contains some correct information but oversimplifies and misrepresents how skincare works. While oils help lock in moisture, they do not replace hydration. HA is not harmful but should be used correctly (with an occlusive layer). Instead of completely avoiding moisturizers, a balanced approach with humectants, emollients, and occlusives is the best skincare strategy. Would you like me to suggest a scientifically backed skincare routine based on this information? 😊

I would love your thought Dr. Abs ❤ I have been pondering a lot lately for the past 8 years on what the government and its various entities tell us. I guess you could say I am deconstructing things I was led to believe by them and further encouraged by doctors, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, therapists, etc. Anyway, I have come a long way and I feel I have only scratched the surface. I have been enjoying the Carnivore life for 8 years. I have been an ex-va-xx-er for 22 years after my son at a very bad reaction at 4 months after his 💉 and none of the "experts" had answers for me that made sense. So, I withdrew from that practice and did my own deep dives. I came to the conclusion that it is all poison (my conclusion, you are entitled to yours). Now, I have been curious about these so called vitamins and supplements. What is a vitamin? How do we know it is good for us and not another lie? How do we know that there are any naturally occurring vitamins in our food? How do we know what amount of each vitamin is naturally occurring in the food. How do we know they did not just make this up and produce the science with the results they wanted? Like Ancel Keys did. Like Fauci has on multiple occasions or like Salk and Pastuer did? Just for examples. If these questions cannot be answered...Then.... How do we know they actually extracted the vitamin or mineral from the food? How do they know they extracted the pure vitamin and which one? How do they know how much of the vitamin they extracted? How do they know there isn't dangerous contamination from all the dangerous chemicals and processes they use for extraction of the vitamin or mineral? How do they know that the said concoction they have bottled as a isolated vitamin or group of vitamins is safe and good for us? How do they know these bottled concoctions are not harming us? How do they know the soil is deficient? How do they know we are deficient in specific vitamins or minerals? How do they know the percentage we need daily of said vitamins and minerals? How do they know what healthy is? Peer-reviewed journals are not sound science. Medical journals post documented science that has been paid for to show the desired results. If they can't results they do not want, they simply do not publish it. Medical journals, research and medicine are full of conflict of interest parties. Most research cannot be replicated to get the same exact result. Usually, because they made it up to get paid. They like to say, "the dose makes the poison." Well, how do you know the dose that you are ingesting is not the dose that will poison you? HOW DO THEY KNOW WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT? WHY SHOULD WE HAVE EVER PUT ANY TRUST IN THEM, LET ALONE GOING FORWARD? I could keep going on.... Just one more: If the above cannot be answered with common sense and proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Also, replicated by anyone that is capable to test such claims and get repeatable identical results. What about blood lab values then? What are they based on? Who are they based on? Who created the lab values? I am researching all of the above and I am going deep. I encourage you to do the same. The more people we have digging and looking into these things the better. Unlearning the lies and learning the truth is tedious, time consuming work but so worth it, I believe. Forget TV and movies, it is junk to condition and numb us like their sugar laden fortified poison foods. Let 2025 be the year of digging out of the lies and into the truth for the optimal care of our precious, well designed and incredible bodies. 💯❤️🤩

Dr.Abs do you have any thoughts and the biochemistry of the new patented ingredient by Eucerin/Nivea? Glycostop, aka N-Acteyl Hydroxyproline. It's meant to prevent some of the glycation. I'm not usually one to give much thoughts about patented ingredients by skincare brands but their recent patented ingredient Thiamadol has been a huge success in terms of hyperpigmenation and melasma, better than anything we have so far.
