I've watched yours and many other posts on the DBX 07 and was looking forward to fixing it's issues, however it's turned into frustration! I've tried to simply change out the wheel bearings but can't remove the 2.5 grub screws that hold the hubs in place! I even just tried putting a soldering iron in there and they still won't budge as I think their held in with red Loctite! So how is everyone else dealing with this issue? I'm at the end of trying and have stripped 2 of them now and thinking I'm best to just take it to a hobby store and get them to sort it! I look forward to hearing your advice as in all the videos I've watched, nobody has mentioned getting these grub screw out was an issue... Thanks in advance.

Butane micro torch..yes there is an abundance of red thread lock everywhere. Those grub screws need to be heated a lot to break down the thread lock. You’ll know when they are heated enough, as the thread lock will smoke a little bit and the grub screw will very easily un thread. The motor mount screws, center driveshaft support and center diff mount screws, all need to be hit with the high heat from a butane micro torch to be removed easily.

@@stevestanton8281 yes, it’s a pain. Pretty sure they used a paint brush soaked in red thread locker for most of the screws. *Fair warning…you’re going to want to get creative when installing the bearings into the wheel hubs. I listen to you say that is so durable. But you offer a Armor version that is just a nylon sleeve over over the rubber cord. Why if it is so durable?
@rcmadlabz2492
@rcmadlabz2492 Жыл бұрын
It is “impossible” to account for every circumstance that a person will put their model through. The Armored version gives people a chance to learn what the Cords can and cannot handle. If you loose the outer layer, it’s not the end of the service life for the product. You get a second chance. *Just like almost everything else in the hobby…these cords are replaceable. **When they do eventually wear out, you are expected to replace them.

Right on Target! It’s easy to decide to slap in a larger can size motor, like a 4268 series. Problem with all that added power, is keeping the front end on the ground…being able to go fast under control. *For the areas we run, and the way we use our models…we don’t need more Top Speed MPH.
