There is another version of the Scorpion Story. The Scorpion and the Sea Turtle. Where the Scorpion stings the turtle and gloats about how it's body will feed it's young when it washes ashore. Only to have the Sea turtle point out that they have existed longer then scorpions and are immune to the venom... and then eats the scorpion.
