Enjoyable run Paul. We recognised some of those roads as we did them in the opposite direction from Sos del Rey (near Pamplona) to Vielha. The difference is you had amazing weather. It was cold & wet in June. Don't blame you for giving up on Gopro, we will never go back.

I've actually finished a 10 day ride many many years ago riding the last 500+ miles on a rear tire carcass that was worse than the photo you showed. Very young and very dumb. I wouldn't embark on a trip like this without fresh sneaks. Glad he made it home safely.

It’s taken ages to get setup sorted to my satisfaction but using DJI Osmo 3, plus DJI lavalier mic. Will try Mic2 direct to cam next year, as I’m fed up with having to stop filming when it starts raining! Thanks for watching…just editing the last episode 👍

Cheers Paul, yet another great video of your trip and have really enjoyed following your journey and need to do one or two next year before I get too old, 😀 just trying to find European travel insurance suitable to ride bikes over 125cc for next year
@YarroMoto22 күн бұрын
Hi Alan, you are right, quality personal travel insurance is so important, as one of my friends discovered a couple of years ago...in foresight, he had quite expensive insurance in place before the accident but was able to get 5star treatment and was flown back to the UK with a dedicated nurse on board to look after him!. For yourself and anyone else looking for EUROPEAN TRAVEL INSURANCE ... helpfully, Roger Gill, one of the PEMC's most experienced trip organisers, works for wdenis.co.uk who are insurance brokers. I have used their service for a couple of years, although I have fortunately not had to test it. Their AXA Premier Annual cover offers everything I require. If like myself, you have any medical issues, they will refer you via their medical screening service to assess your health situation before confirming a quote. Speak to my contact, [email protected] or call her on 0113-243-7215. For a rough guide, my 2024 annual cover, cost me £146, with my medical background taken into account. Hope this helps you and see you somewhere next year maybe?

Hi Paul, I am no longer a member of the PEMC but I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying your series about your latest trip. My France trip was universally unpopular, with me eventually going on my own. I can see why when comparing it with your fantastic trip. I've ridden a bit in Spain and covered some of these areas in the past but never all together like this. Thank you so much for posting these videos. I am able to vicariously ride with you. Best Wishes Edward (Ted) Foreman.

Interesting to hear your Anakee Road feedback. To join any of the PEMC club trips, firstly spend £25 (currently) for a years membership and a joining fee of £10. I have an admission to make...it's been pointed out to me, that I rode the 'Portuguese Stelvio' on Day 6, not Day 7 as titled in the video. At 09:27 in the vid, where I miss a planned waypoint and rode the N232 East to Manteigas...THAT's the 'Stelvio'. It's just that I didn't realise it led me to, and down the 'fabled' twisty route and so, I didn't film much until I reached the other side of Manteigas. So, aim for the N232 if you want the correct route. Guess it's all a good reason to go back and film it properly, plus loads of the other roads around the Serra da Estrela!
