A Babyshambles reunion is looking likely now. For me, it should involve Pat Walden and Gemma Clarke as well as the others. Babyshambles had a very raw, ska/punk sound to start with with I fukn loved. Bring it back, Peter!

I was at the concert. 17 years old. Fun fact: The Verve were actually headlining that stage on that evening. But Babyhsambles arrived too late and somehow took to the stage late at night. It was one of the best concerts of my life. I love Pete

In 2004, Babyshsmbles was the greatest Rock band on the planet. When they lost Gemma, it was never the same intensity or sincerity after that, but I still loved them. It’s just like when Guns N’ Roses lost Steve Adler. It’s just a drummer, who cares? However, the magic is off.

Love that little glimmer of Heartbreak Hotel at the beginning...the last true (mainstream) punk. Also. clearly off his box here, BUT holding it together and performing really well? OR he was clean...just so hard to tell...back then he could get away with it?

Mick strums a powerchord (and badly) than any guitarist I have ever seen
@aoibh45202 жыл бұрын
Read that sentence back man.. It makes no sense bud. But I do get what you're tryina say, im in the camp that thinks the shambles were basically a different band (sounds n all) from 'albion' to 'shotters nation' and although I see that pat Walden is a hard act to follow (fantastic player reminds me of Frusciante the way he plays with pure feel) But I do think Mick gets an unwarranted hard time. When clean, hes a fantastic player.. And he helped keep em together when pat seriously left.. My thinking is more along the lines of pat was either blessed or cursed.. Lol... To still play brilliantly when he was absolutely smashed! Mick, not so much. But when you hear him play clean he's more than just a competent guitarist he's a damn good one and a good co-writer too. Peter needs that it seems.. Even now with Frédéric lo (the album they just released is fantastic imo) it was a big fear of petes that he wouldn't be able to write 'sober' so it's great to see him doing it.. And doing it well. Sorry for the rant bud, which exact power chord made you comment that? (poor Mick.. Lol)
