Benny Goodman was called the King of Swing. Of course, we know this was gross exaggeration. Chick Webb was the true king of swing.

Not Chick on drums, Bill Beason is most probably the drummer, far from Chick. Super trumpet by Taft Jordan, and trombone by Sandy Williams.

If you really knew Webb’s playing you could tell this isn’t him playing. It’s Bill Beason who replaced him after Webb’s death.
