If you have problems with it only working in Editor on Unity 6, make sure you go to your game camera and change Update Mode: Every Frame under Volumes

I was going to make my first game in unreal but after seeing this it looks like unioty might be able to give me graphics that are 'good enough' in not a ton of time. Plus I'm already7 taking a course in unity to get certified in C#. I'm not sure but I might switch

How can I get this to work in Unity 6? The tint under lighting isnt in the inspector and altering the distance only shows something in the editor not the game view. I tried joining the discord but the invite expired

@ I found out what to do, you update a function in a few places than make the others as obsolete because they are for a previous version. I got the lighting to work this is great!

@@nights312312 it does work. If you’re using unity 6 the code is in there just remove all of the unity 5 code and it will work. It’s all in that file in a region marked as unity 5

Sorry to hear that, i'll try to make an updated video later. I could still help you out through my discord if you still need (my dms are always open). I managed to get it working in unity 6 by importing all the three folders from the github repo into unity 6 assets folder. Then add volumetric fog inside the renderer and global volume.

Hmm that is interesting. Usually horror games lighting do not need complex global illumination system and it's a matter of correct color combinations and shadowing. But i will have to look up more ^.^

Does not work for me at all:( I've added other things to the volume and it works but the fog one specifically won't budge, camera has post processing enabled. Any tips?

Sorry for late response, you can try checking your URP Renderer Data and make sure to add volumetric fog into it. I might do an updated tutorial very soon or we can talk through discord dm if you still need more help

You need to set the meshes to static and make sure your light is set to mixed instead of realtime.
