As a business owner I totally get why you are just scrapping the foreign coins but it's such a shame, because those are exactly what I like to buy. Once you have a bunch of eagles, maples, philharmonics, krugs, buffalos, etc. you want to expand into more interesting pieces that you can enjoy. I own a bunch and always ask dealers to see these first when I come in to make a purchase.

If you have stuff that is rare (or at least not mass produced) and looks good in hand, I would suggest consigning it to a numismatic auction. Most bullion businesses are more similar to pawn shops in that they are just trying to move stuff as fast as possible for a certain percentage over spot. I come from a numismatic background and am pretty sure there is a good arbitration business to be had for a picker looking through this scrap that gets sent to a refiner. You simply have to get it in front of customers who appreciate the artistic merit of a piece.

For instance, I know that sites like Heritage Auctions and Classical Numismatic Group take historic gold coins on consignment for auction: any sovereign gold, as well as gold medals, medallions, commemoratives, etc

Question for Brian next video... How do you not get completely bored out of your mind dealing with the same product everyday? It is a slow and steady process but man we as viewers deal with the stuff as we see fit but I can't imagine dealing with it everyday to make a living off of. Just curious have you had any regrets or do you still think it is fun?

Attended a coin show this weekend about 18 to 20 dealers. Well attended sell 80% buy 20% basically. Dealers buying at 30 to 31. Selling for 33 to 34. 2025 eagles going for 36. Didn't inquire about 90% as many dealers did not have any out. One dealer was mercury low grade domestic for 3.50 and barber quarters for 8.00. Cull silver dollars at 25 upto 34 depending on quality.

Japan and China are dumping UST's faster than Tether can pump them into our crypto markets so the public must be in a dire financial straits to trade gold/silver for USD when the big institutions are doing the opposite 🤔Retail is usually wrong but we shall see.

Your shop is the best by far! Clearly explain price on both buy and sell along with the taxes and form reporting updates. No one does that, it could hurt their sales if a buyer knew their fancy custom bars at $50 are only worth $30 at best Keep up the great work

Those palladium coins are canadian, therefore they need to return home after so many years down south. If we wire you 1150$ USD + whatever is required to ship to Canada, do you ship to Canada even if the top right specifies "US only" ? worth a shot.
