LOL, tell that to my LCS. Was lucky enough to go two days in a row with both days being packed. I talked to the owner and he said business has been great. LOTS of new buyers and a lot of new inventory due to people selling to buy presents. People are hurting, that's why you're seeing a lot more selling this time of the year. But I have never seen and talked to so many buyers in his shop.

Great comments today - I do appreciate your common sense approach and believe that all investors would benefit from this point of view. One thing a lot of people are missing is that prices are up because commercial demand is up. Retail is a much smaller percentage so even when retail demand is low, the commercials will still move the price, thus the high price during a drastically low retail demand portion of the cycle. Stackers should look at this as beneficial because it has an odd way of allowing them to sell high and buy low.

I think the big lesson is that physical bullion market has very limited impact on the paper market which drives the spot price. Past couple years when premiums would shoot high I always thought it was a definite sign that the paper market inevitably should be moving up too to match. Never happened. Conversely, there is no guarantee that when physical market sinks we're not seeing a cratering of spot price.

Why is cleaned junk 90 considered not retail material and put in the same category as bent or damaged coins. In my case I purchased really dirty, gross junk 90 at a discount and cleaned it with the aluminum foil baking soda hot water method, so no scratching or nasty chemicals. It looks very nice, is not bent or damaged, and is shiny rather than the typical shades of silver or silvery gray (or coins that are shiny because they haven't been circulated much). Why are these coins put in the same category as bent, damaged, or really gross and dirty coins?

The LCS owner appreciates the difference and will pay accordingly for clean coins (no more gray fingers)😎

If u enjoy watching paint dry and making $0 then silver is perfect for u. Unfortunately in these days of crazy inflation people have to invest in things like bitcoin and the stock market where they can make some gains to try and stay ahead of the cost of living. Neither gold or silver or any commodity for that matter has kept up with inflation. Gold has had a good year but prior to this year it did almost nothing for years. Boring and manipulated. How many times do we see a couple good days in silver and gold get crushed with a 3 or 4 day sell off? You can set your watch to it. Only crypto and the stock market are allowed to rise at a good pace, not gold, not silver and that’s why the retail market sucks.

The Bible verse you referenced, Ezekiel 7:19, is talking about the Day of the Lord, the millennium, 2Peter3:8. That event starts when the true Christ returns and instantly we change into a spiritual body. The fact is that this verse implies that gold and silver will have value during time the false Christ (satan, the antichrist) is here and up until the true Christ returns, when we won’t need it any longer. The evil people who thought gold and silver (money) were their salvation, rather than Christ, will be cast to the wrong side of the gulf. Don’t be deceived by satan.
