All these cars shot up in value, that’s crazy. Man these cars was cheap in the late 90s. In New York a lot of them was in junkyards. They was expensive to maintain even back then

Fantastic story! I met you in Tijeras Canon at a gas station we were both at. I was headed up to the Sandia area and we had a little chat about your car. I used to own a 1972 Pantera in Dallas Texas. Selling it was one of my biggest mistakes. So glad to have come across this video and to see you still have the car.

I had a chance to buy one just like that around 1980, before they were quite so popular. It wasn't perfect, but it was a steal comparatively. Sorry I passed it up.

Double that price for the 1976 Fiberglass. Only 300 were made for American export. There were about 400 more released in Europe.

Just to think the prototype power steering unit were crushe in the beginning of 1988 year, AND if the fiero production had gone into the 89 model yr the Olds Quad 4 and LQ1 3.4 dohc engines were going to be fearured in 89, it's really aggravating to see the fiero not be given a chance to improve, GM would have sold wayy more Feros revised cars. Even current Fiero owners are trying to correct the factory mistakes on the car by modifying them.

Used to have a 1981 924 Turbo here in Europe, loved it, the 924S is really fun to drive & due to the narrow body it’s actually faster than the 944.

awesome car. today's cars look so fucked up compared to these cool looking classics. modern sporty cars have these fucked up looking read & front headlights with curves & straight lines that go everwhere - like car itself is on drugs or something - so disturbing.

People talk like this design was the only Fiero GT. I bought a brand new 1985 GT and it had the same nose like this one but it didn't have the extended sail panels. The 2.8 liter was the only V6 available that I know of. Lotsa misinformation.

I loved my '86 SE with a dealer installed custom T-top. Very throaty exhaust and pretty quick. My only complaint was how stiff the clutch as and the underwhelming mismatched 4-speed gearing.

At 4:47 , "...has balance shafts...", ...no, the 60 Degree GM V6 never had balancer shafts...kinda pointless on a 60 degree V6. For 1987 , the V6 was externally balanced with a counter-weight on the flexplate/flywheel....for 88 the V6 was internally balancer. Both the internal AND external balanced engines had neutral harmonic balancers. This is a problem all thru social media, trying to decipher fact from myth....listening to clueless wanabees.

I don`t know why GM gives up from developing a great concept. Olds, Chevy,Pontiac and Cadillac had too much overlap, they had too many models where the divisions were competing with each other by having the same kind of car with different cosmetic variations of the same thing basically. If they would have each division doing a different segment of the car market they could of had more choices to compete with the Japanese. But no, trying to save money (they thought) use the same platforms old under powered engines and throw on some different badges and tail lights. Then when they did have some new, exciting different ideas they would give up after a few years instead of developing and perfecting the platform. For the shape they were under powered, a turbo could have fixed that. Do the Japanese give up after 2 years?Too quick to pull the plug. Then a decade or so later the Pontiac division would disappear anyhow.

I had a blue one around 1990, found sitting behind a city laundromat but low mileage. I was on a first name basis with the Sat. parts guy at the old Nissan dealership, who would haul out the "411 book" from under the counter. I had previously owned a Volvo with SUs so could tune the carbs. I used it as my daily driver for several years. I had already owned 510s and a Datsun pickup.

I never owned one, but in January 1967 I had a chance to drive a 2000. The Denver, CO dealer called it a "Beetle Killer" which it certainly was. Wow, could it run!
