Another awesome video! I can't ever say that I have seen a Mistral in person. Great car!

People keep going on about the road car 6 cylinder engines being derived from the racing car engines. The links are there but the characteristics are extremely different. Best to focus on the characteristics of what actually went into the road cars. Nice video though!

Thus the word "derived". Obviously the requirements for road use are different from those for grand prix cars. The thing that gets me is that they talk about it as if the V8 engines that replaced the I6 were not race derived. But they were; they came from the 450S. The block even has the ports for dual plug ignition, although only single was used. They did keep the dry sump.

I had a 65 Maserati Mistral a few years ago and drove it quite a bit. For me I didn't like the styling that much, especially the rear roof. After watching this video I miss it.

There was none on it when I drove the car for the video. Not sure if it was missing or came like that from the factory?

The Datsun 240Z must have been inspired by this car.

This guy doesn’t seem to know a lot about the cars. He seems bored as well. Nice car bad video.

@@Retromod I am. Sorry if I offended. Perhaps being a little more knowledgeable about what you’re actually reviewing eg. when the car switched to a 4 l engine etc. The best car reviews make you want to drive the car itself. Transferring the driving experience to the viewer.

This was a very good presentation with just the right amount of information. More is not better.
