You say there's no real blueprint for it, but there's a real bit of art and genius in getting the type of clean, swirling combustion you have achieved. @@jagdpanther9 Oh for sure! Some people make the most outrageous setups to burn oil and still can't get the blue flame.🤣 It should be noted to use square tube though unless they do some fancy drilling with a round tube to get the swirl. I would have put a U bend in the oil feed pipe because I found it can puff smoke out where it drips into it, on yours it would be where you look through the viewing hole. It may not happen on yours though. Got to be the best ever PORTABLE oil burner I have ever seen ! You could dump a block of lard in the top if you got short of oil too, it works just as good. 😁 Wood or coal too and a few rags it is brilliant.🤩

@stephenmiller9124Ай бұрын
You put your heart and soul into your scale model aircraft as well as your 1/1 car projects. I enjoyed following the Charger restoration videos. I am sorry to hear about the engine failure. I did a restoration of my 1988 Firebird Formula 350. The original Corvette engine failed at 226,000 miles with my wife driving it home from work (naturally). I spent $20,000 to restore a car I purchased brand new in November 1987 for $15,500. In 2000, I figured why restore someone else's old car, when I already had one in my driveway. I purchased a new 4-bolt main 350 block. We went with everything new except the multi-port fuel Injection and exhaust manifolds. I used modern roller rockers as you did. A gypsy roving mechanic built the block at a friend. He made mistakes. The new radiator did not have proper clearance for fan. The fan blades punctured radiator. The engine overheated and engine block was ruined. Shop owner got me new block from Chevy dealer, but new engine did not ever run very strong. Twenty years ago in October 2004, I nearly died in a motorcycle wreck caused by careless driver who was under insured driving a barrowed car. My 8-1/2 weeks of hospitalization cost my health insurance company over $1 Million USD. My co-pay came to $140,000 after negotiations. I could no longer afford 4 cars. I had an appraisal for $17,500, but no buyers at anywhere near that amount. The supposed friend/shop owner the did mechanical and engine work on my Firebird restoration project offered me only $5,000, but I had to finance it! I was getting robbed and I knew it. He crashed and burned my car when he still owed me final payment of $400. He filed for bankruptcy! I feel your pain. My wife forever banned me from further car restoration projects. I picked too common a car to restore. My fault. Your Charger is much more classic and worthy project. It has been nearly 20 since I lost my shirt on my restoration. Your car will rise again. You will drive it with pride. Take a much earned vacation. Let some time pass. Focus on your health and we'll being. You created an automotive work of beauty. You have skills I never acquired. I chased down and purchased parts while trusting others to properly assemble. That clearly did not work as dreamed or planned. Your story will have a much better ending!
