Ya I’m not a fan of their direction. Nerfing fun dive things like panther and they don’t nerf healing at all and actually buff it? Such boring gameplay.

I wonder if the extra health might indirectly result in more frequent kills, because he'll be more likely to be low health, the damage boost might kick in more frequent.

I think I'd appreciate a video investigation on the dash "no reg" issue with some good examples. Personally I haven't been able to find a good example that wasn't easily explained with one of the following: 1. The dash missed the target but hit something else. 2. Spear hit and dash didn't, but the spear's hit marker was misleading. 3. The target used a dash or invuln against the dash, and the player sees one of the previous items happen. (I saw this happen live on one of your stream vods against a star-lord and everyone was confused, but it was just his invuln dash.) I also think it's possible that client-side prediction is triggering the sound in anticipation of a hit, but it ends up not being valid on the server. In this case, not sure what a fix would look like as it just comes down to latency between player clients and the server. btw I'm a BP main so thanks for that lmao

A change I'd like to see is giving his spears the system spiderman has with his web shooters where he can see how many he has and their cooldown progress right under his cross-hairs. That'd be cool

In the grand scheme of the game.. after watching all my panther gameplays back (lord panther grandmaster) It’s not going to affect good players THAT much. The ceiling dropping from 420 to 375 sucks.. BUT in reviewing tape.. I find that majority of the time, unless something went wrong.. my regular health pool is largely unaffected to the 375 value regardless. Simplest terms.. DONT MISS YOUR LUNGE. There’s bigger penalty for missing now and slightly less reward for hitting.. however constantly cycling through your lunges will keep you AT WORST 90% of your health as before you may have not dipped into your regular pool at all. Small in the grand scheme

Interestingly Black Panther is the most banned dps over hawkeye and hela even in asia, So since it's an asian company I'm guessing they're probably basing their bans off their meta? and he is considered the beyond broken character. I actually personally think he is too, it's just that there's way less people that can play panther on that level than can aim as hawkeye/hela in a shooter. I think they nerfed the right problem with him. He's way too fast to react too already and does insane burst damage and you can't really just freeze or sleep him out of it consistently like spider-man/magik etc because he's so hard to track, but ALSO on top of that he's absurdly tanky as a 300 HP character who gets a million shield and self heals too. So even if you do track him as a support perfectly you gotta shoot him a good 20 times. Otherwise this patch is... really sus I'm not gonna lie it's scaring me for the future. barely any change to hawkeye/hela/luna the 3 main oppressive problems with the game. BUFFING wolverine the current meta that just won the tournament finals. Buffing Namor AND his team up... BUFFING bucky/punisher who I don't think were broken but were at least like A+ tier already if they weren't S... Buffing C&D to have ANOTHER ult on the broken level of Luna when that's the number 1 complaint with this game is insane. Nerfing spider-man and removing most of his tech? 😭 Like damn the main problem characters didn't get fixed at all, some got buffed even, half the almost problem characters just became problem characters. AND random nerfs to low tiers people want to see a lot more of?? Cap, Storm, Widow buffs are the only saving grace here, and honestly if widow+hawkeye becomes meta that could be bad too lol

BP has to press spear-dash-spear-dash-kick to kill any squishy that got a minimum amount of heals. He's a hero that can get shutdown by any simple non-ult cc button. Buttons that in most lobbies are available to both supports, at least one tank, and even dps. Meanwhile, Hela can 2 tap people while sitting behind cover, with an ult that 2 shots and makes her immortal, and of course, she also gets a cc button.

I think mantis ult is fine because it so short It’s basically a weaker version of Lunas ult, but it still allows mantis to attack and dmg boost But Lunas ult needs a nerf tbh Her ult effectively makes everyone immortal to everything except one shot kills. Making it have a shorter time isn’t the solution IMO. But instead giving it less healing so you can still do something during it. Mantis and cloak already do the immortal healing thing but they both have downsides or risks that luna doesn’t have. Lunas is basically just an objectively better version of their ults and I think it should be more balanced. This is coming from a support/tank main btw.

Damn, I cant wait to climb this season with panther, I think peaking Diamond 2 playing with 200 ping was pretty good for me, but damn I cant settle, thnx Karkat for another vid it keeps me motivated to grind <3.

They nerfed him because healing in this game is already too weak. Cannot have a dive character that does not even remotely oneshot with combo be in the backline and make the game difficult for healbots. 🤡

Why tf are they not nerfing Luna instead of Panther who's literally the most stable character in the game, all he needed was a reg fix and he was done, but Noooo let's fu k the game even more than it already is also not optimising the game at all....

I’m in low plat and I’ve been eating with him if the enemy team doesn’t counter pick. He might have needed a little nerf but not that hard. Regardless we will be fine, I’m happy less people are going to pick him up now.

For the future. Please use a zoom transition when changing instead of instantly changing zoom. Or just keep everything zoomed in. Reading along is very annoying.
