America was never a democracy, America is a constitutional republic. A democracy typically means people’s system, rule by majority, overriding the minority and sovereignty rests with all the people taken together. A republic is the form of government in which the people choose representatives to represent them, rule by law, protecting the minority’s rights, sovereignty rests with only the individuals. The United States of America is a constitutional republic, created to protect the rights of the individual and limits both the powers of government and the 2/3 majority rule.

This is very interesting, and very educational. I do have one question. How could the Economic Intelligence Unit downgrade from a “full” democracy, if you claimed America was not a full democracy from start? You said that it is both a democracy and republic.

There is an inaccuracy in the women's voting rights section. Utah was the 2nd state to give women the right to vote, this was because there was polygamy in the area and they thought that giving the women the right to vote will get them to vote to stop polygamy. There's a criminal in office, the government isn't even bothering to hide the corruption anymore, and it's been known for a decade at least that if you start with money you live and if you start without it you die.
