In 2023, I decided to join the digital realm (I learned photography with a Yashica D, which I still have, along with other Yashica TLRs; I was 12, and I am 64). Since I am proficient with my film cameras, I wanted to know why there was hype with digital cameras. I bought the Fuji X-T30 II for an upcoming vacation. It took such a long time to arrive that I decided to buy the X100F. I love the retro look of the Fuji cameras, but I found a great deal for an X-E3 in like-new condition, so I bought it. Well, the X-T30 arrived a week before my trip, so I took it with me; that retro look, wow, the size surprised me. I have medium-sized hands, and it felt so tiny. Loved it. One thing, I am not technologically challenged, but I was overwhelmed by the learning curve of operating it. My E3 was gathering dust until I took another trip last November. It wowed me. The sheer size and how it shot with the three prime lenses I took for the trip, 27 mm, 35 mm, and 56 mm, are all AF from TTArtesan. Most of my pictures were taken with the 27 mm. Still, the X00F looks so lovely, perhaps my next Social Security check 😂😂😂, but first, I have to pay off my bills from my trip. Enjoy your camera, my friend, life is very short.

@luisbperez3685 күн бұрын
@ I retired on the last day of 2017; my home was paid off, and so were my credit cards, except the one I used for my trip (it was to Disney World, so you can imagine how friking expensive it was). I live comfortably, with no luxury. My kids have their lives; my wife will retire in six months. So you can see that my needs are minimal; I live for traveling now, camera in hand. Now, I have to say that my digital cameras are spoiling me rotten 😂. With film, you have to be very careful when taking pictures; film is expensive by itself; if you send the film to a color lab, that is an extra $$$. Most of my film photos are in B&W; I have a small room dedicated to my lab. You must carry an extra SD (I have 6, 128 Gig 😂) and extra batteries with the digital cameras. I only have one regret: why am I waiting so long to get a digital camera 😂😂😂. You earned my subscription. Stay safe. By the way, please show us more content related to the X100F.

@ When I use a manual lens on my digital cameras I use the exposure triangle to keep me sharp. I chose the film simulation and recorded the jpeg and the raw file. Since most of my film cameras don't have a light meter, I use the sunny 16 rule. If I don't use that rule, I will use an app on my iPhone to read the light. Why? Old habits are hard to break 😂😂😂😂. No a6700?
@damianotchere9 күн бұрын
That’s another camera that could have made the list but honestly comparing the price to value just couldn’t put it in front of a budget camera like the zve10 and then at the mid range it doesn’t compete with the Sony A7iv. But at the end of the day the Sony A6700 might fit your specific needs and maybe it’s the Best Buy for you. When making a video like this and trying to remove all emotions and just be real on value to price cameras like the fx30 and a6700 are great options but for more niche cases. If you are a videographer and you are not really a beginner and want that 4k 60 and you only have 1500 and you can’t squeeze that extra 500 for something like the A7iv then I’d recommend the A6700 or fx30 If you already own a main camera and you are looking for the perfect b cam the fx30 works great with the fx3 and fx6 Making this list was hard because some good cameras just wouldn’t make the cut. But let me know what you go with! 🙏🏿

What your thoughts on the sony fx30? I seen you didnt mention it
@damianotchere10 күн бұрын
@@dosfeos I actually really like the fx30 and I also owned it for about 6 moths. I considered putting it as the best budget camera for videographers but the price is a little high for people that’s really on a budget and I wanted to have options for everyone. Then I considered it for budget level for filmmakers but for the price of the black magic being able to shoot raw and pro res for only 900 was way to much of a steal. I guess the fx30 would be honorable mention. It’s great and amazing it at the same time it either is over priced for the budget range and for the mid range there are also cameras that beat it in my opinion. If you decided to go with it you wouldn’t regret it. I would pick the A7iv over it just because of the fact that it shoots full frame and it takes amazing stills and it has amazing image quality. Great question though honestly the fx30 is a camera that could easily be on this list. It’s a preference thing.

Thank you everyone for watching, and Happy New Year! 🎉 I just wanted to address a couple of errors I made in the video: 1️⃣ The Canon G7X Mark III is actually around $1,500, which I feel is a bit much for beginner content creators. Instead, I recommend going for the Sony ZV-E10 if you’re just starting out-it’s more budget-friendly and still delivers amazing results. 2️⃣ The price of the Sony ZV-E1 is $2,200, not $2,800. For high-end creators, I’d actually recommend stepping up to the Sony FX3 instead if you’re looking for a true professional-grade camera. Thanks again for tuning in, and let me know if you have any questions about these cameras! 🚀
