Consistency will win in the long run. Your workouts don't have to be super fancy to get the job done. If you treat working out like a part of your lifestyle and not a chore, you'll realize that even the brisk walks 5 times a week is better than the one off 5 mile run you only do once a month. As a former professional athlete who was accustomed to Olympic level workouts, I've had to shift my perspective in retirement and embrace the types of workouts that fit my lifestyle. And walking is on that list. Part 2 of: keep these kids entertained this summer (series) Homemade slime from ingredients you probably already have at home. Science: Slime is made after a chemical reaction between two main ingredients; polyvinyl alcohol and borate ion. Polyvinyl alcohol can be found in simple PVA glue and borate ion is created when baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) is mixed with contact lens solution. It’s super important to make sure that the solution you’re using contains the ingredients boric acid and sodium borate. Ingredients: 1) 100ml PVA white glue (children’s craft glue or CE marked glue) 2) ½ tsp baking soda 3) a few drops of food coloring (gel is fine too 4) 1-3 tsps contact lens cleaning solution (must contain boric acid) We played around with the quantities to get our desired consistency, and you can do the same!
