Much of SOCOM is also using AKs and RPG-7s to train partner forces like the Ukrainians and sometimes blend in with them like with the Peshmerga. In fact, the Green Berets' traditional and primary mission is actually to train partner forces in unconventional warfare - the cool-guy, door kicking, direct-action stuff is actually a secondary mission that came later with very small CIF units. I once saw people sh*tting on the video Ian from Forgotten Weapons had on the Airtronic RPG-7 with rails for night vision... this was about a year BEFORE the 2022 Russian invasion when the last bits of training and procurement were done to prep the Ukrainian defenders for the worst. The general public are idiots.

@@casperarmsFor 120 years US used it's military to stuff it's pockets with ridiculous amounts of money. US invaded Iraq for fabricated reasons, only for those reasons to come true, because of the invasion. "War is a racket, the oldest one there is. Ultimately, we understand that the United States is one of the best countries in the world. While the vast majority of people in the USSR lived in poverty, the United States created conditions for a decent life for its citizens. While the United States was creating "firms with terrible conditions" from Latin American countries (apparently, they lived better before the United States), the Soviet Union was building cities inside its own country, where its own people died from radiation, frostbite and lung disease, because they worked like slaves for 12-15 hours in mines, and they had everything I don't care. When the United States overthrew some governments, the USSR overthrew others. It was the Cold War, and it was absolutely clear that if the Communists were not defeated, they would turn the whole world into a concentration camp. Hussein was not a good man, he started an aggressive war and occupied the independent country of Kuwait. It is known that he had Scud ballistic missiles at his disposal. Hussein used chemical weapons against Iran and his own Kurdish citizens. Not to mention the fact that a few months before the US invasion, Hussein stopped allowing international inspectors to enter Iraq, overseeing work on the creation of weapons of mass destruction. Therefore, do not tell me about how the evil United States attacked the peace-loving Saddam

The idea of improving service rifles with a small third-party parts manufacturer with low supply capacity is only useful on a small scale of use, such as for special forces. Rifles for conventional units are mass-produced and specifications must be standardized. Cost reduction is also required.

My thoughts of close support weapons carriers are : extra light amphibious , both - one man / unmanned , wheeled or tracked vehicle made from some sort of plastic. Could be fibre reenforced plastic , possibly self sealing, High power to weight, 2wd with optional sealed electrical motor hubs for 4x4. Electric turntable knuckle boom, weapons platform . Dream up your light support weapons. RPGs , unguided rockets , machine gun , mortar , drones , grenade launchers ect ect . Keep it very small ( hard to hit ) , very cheap ( basically disposable ) could use add on armour of your choice . A mix of manned & unmanned, hopefully the unmanned ones soak up the hits . Hopefully keep the weight under 300kg . Hull possibly would provide protection from some shell splinters & some small arms fire at 150-200 meters. ? Just a thought.
