A lighter recoil spring increases reliability with a ported barrel. When gasses are diverted up, those gasses are not pushing the slide back. Hence stove pipes. Yes, stock ported glocks use the same recoil springs as non ported, but glock slide rail groves have loose tolerances and less friction.
@RandoWayne
@RandoWayne 3 күн бұрын
I know that you are absolutely right. I was just trying to see if the claim that the barrel worked was true. It worked yes but you’re right I need a lighter spring to ensure reliability.
@devinamico525

I'd avoid the use of that barrel for self defense. But +p ammo and regular cleanings might prove the setup reliable.

I bought 3 "Kershaw" assisted folding knives for the guys. I did some research and found that the "made in USA logo'ed" knives are made in China but are made in the factory that make the non-made in USA Kershaw knives. The only difference on the outside is the color scheme. The actions are crisp with a positive stop and lock. The stee is labeled 8CR13MOV. They came fairly sharp but of course I had to put a 6000+ edge on them and they hold an edge well. I paid $13 each. The Originals were running at $65 at that time. I know I should be buying "real" merch but for one fourth the price it's hard to pass up. Real knives shouldn't cost $300-$400. They have over a 1000% mark up.

Great, got one myself and fed 10 rounds of light loads only to have not cycle after each shot. Disassembled and reassembled 3 times. Still no cycling. BUT I also noticed, despite the forward grip being tight and everything cranked down, the forward grip slips forward roughly a quarter inch. Whats annoying is that you say I need to spend $115-$130 in just burning high end ammo to break it in? That kinda sucks.

As far as using +P .38 Loads in your Model 206, A Armscor Representative recently stated that occasional +P fire would not effect the gun. He also stated that constant +P shooting in your Model 206 could have some negative effect on the gun. I have owned a Model 200 and a Model 206 and have shot many +P loads with no problems. The top strap of the 200 and 206 Revolvers is good thick steel. It looks to me like these Armscor Revolvers, the 200 and 206, could take many rounds of +P fire. A very good revolver for the cost and a very durable six-gun that would make an excellent firearm for self defense. I have shot plenty of hot loads through both of my Armscor Revolvers. The Model 200 of mine was purchased by myself over 10-years ago. It has had hundreds of .38's shot through it with no problems.You did well with your Armscor Model 206 purchase. Enjoy your shooting and use +P loads for occasional use and regular .38 loads right along with the hot stuff. Use the +P ammo for self defense purposes.

I picked up my Glock 35 MOS last Monday. It's brand new, but with my LEO discount, I saved a lot of $. I haven't got an optic yet as it is my first optic ready pistol and I'm still trying to decide. Any suggestions? I also got a Safariland level 3 holster to carry it in. I'm retired and in my day all we had were thumb break holsters. This one is a whole new animal.
@RandoWayne
@RandoWayne 11 күн бұрын
@@martincolvill5453 the safarilands are very nice and I like that style of holster release. For optic you really have to look at a few and decide what reticle and size of view window you want. The 35’s longer sight radius does make open sights very nice though as well. I personally like the holosun with the Vulcan reticle from primary arms how’s ifnyou want to spend way less for quality a zulisy oak can be had way cheaper and I have personally used mine for well over a year without a single issue.
