It looks like a good Student Bible. The font seems too small to read the notes comfortably, especially for students who struggle with reading. Research indicates struggling readers do better with larger fonts. Larger fonts aren't just for older people.

I found both Joyce Meyers commemtary bibles at Ollies this month. Battlefield of the mind and Everday life. Both in the Faux leather for under 30 dollars. The Everyday in black with silver guilding and the Battlefield in brown with a copper guilding. They are part of my spiritual stack for this coming year. My focus being relationship this next year. This year has been a rollercoaster, very challenging and I feel my faith has suffered has I did. So it's back to basics. I bought a faith planner so I could plan out and focus, different days for different activities and subjects. Prayer, reading, study, devotion with off days for just simply enjoying the blessings in my life with praise. The pink is so pretty and girly, would have loved to see that one at Ollies but the brown is also very pretty. Your reviews are always great 👍

Thanks for the review. I have big one, and it's just too heavy. This one looks good. Are those green boxes distracting , showing through on the next page? I'm look forward to the comparison with the Condensed edition. The Condensed looks like a slightly larger bible than the student edition.

Tyndale normally does not use much color. I think if they used some color, more people might be interested. That's one of my biggest interest. I also do not care for the dated pages. I generally restart the next day. This year I restarted in August.

This is an update! I listened to the first two days off of audio from Kobo Plus. This is really good! I would have to buy the ebook due to the small font, as usual! However, the ebook is $20! So I am going to use firm discipline and not buy it. I will not buy it...I will not buy it...I'll just say this over and over.

Love seeing what you are doing and the Bible’s you are using. I bought a CSB large print personal Bible that I can actually see, so I asked God what I should study. He answered. Know Jesus and write. I’m starting to write out and copy every word in the New Testament. Full scripture writing of God’s word.

When you get a chance to read some of it, I would love to hear your views on the LSB translation. I have never read it before. I don't agree with John MacArthur on several things, but he is a good Bible teacher overall. I have a paperback copy that someone had given to me, but I haven't read it. The paperback version is not easy to read. I plan to get the large print edition so my aging eyes can read the notes. ;) Thanks for an excellent review.

To shed some light on this.. from my research the LSB translation is basically MacArthur's. He is a Calvinist and from what he did to women and people in his own ministry, you couldn't pay me to buy or listen to anything he has. I hate to sound like a broken record but I just really need to warn people about this wolf in sheep's clothing. You will know them by the fruits and if you know how he dealt with women in his church among other things, then you could see why I say this. Study about him and beware.

@@BitesOfFaith I agree. Someone gave me the John McArthur Study Bible paperback. It is difficult for me to support him, too. I didn't like his grandstanding during Covid. I know devout Christians who didn't "believe" in Covid spread the virus and then die themselves. So, sad. I also don't like his views on women.

Great video series - thank you! I am looking for a NKJV as a daily reader for next year… so readability and paper opacity is most important! Hearing your love for this bible and how you have used it long term sold me on it…. BUT I just learned that Schuyler released their new NKJV Stridon… I ❤️ their black pearl leather cover, but the readability of God’s word is most important. Do you know how the Schuyler’s 28 gsm paper opacity, font and format readability compares to the TN Premier Collection 36 gsm?

@@RondaLee-d4y I like both personally, and don't think you can go wrong. But if I had to choose one for the readability only, I would go with the Thomas Nelson Single Column. Schuyler is great too, and the cover is higher quality (which is reflected in the price).

I was kinda sorta leaning towards the TN for readability and lower cost… and now your honest feedback has nudged me across the line! Plus, with the money I would save on the TN vs Schuyler, I could purchase a TN wide margin reference bible for study and mark up! I know I sound like a broken record but I hope publishers and KZbin book reviewers really get the message that anything under 12 or 14 font is not large print! It's a LARGER print, but it isn't considered a large print. I hope anybody on KZbin that has been given free Bibles for reviewing by the publishers give them feedback as to this deceptive marketing. Visually impaired persons are going to buy a Bible thinking it's a large print when in fact it is not! This is definitely not inclusive for the low vision community. Speaking for myself, it is quite depressing to see Christian publishers to not acknowledge this.

@@BitesOfFaith you might really enjoy the NLT Super Giant Print Bible! It has access to the Filament app with study notes, devotionals, maps, visuals, etc, and it's a 16 point font. There is a pretty pink cover option too!

Unfortunatley there is no industry standard for large, larger, giant print. The use of these terms is based on that particular publishers standard print font size, which us usually based on personal sized bibles or the type of bible. Regular, study, devotional, etc. So it varies by publisher. The font size is usually listed in the product info line when buying online and most of the time, when buying in person, any bible claiming large, larger or giant print will include a visual of that font size on the back of the bible package. The only way to change industry standards or to create one would be feedback from consumers, hence the existance of larger print bibles. A large print compact bible may only have an 8 point font, which is consider large print due to the actual size of the bible. A giant print compact may have an 11 point font, which again is considered giant print due to the size of that bible. If you find you're having issues finding a font size that is adaquate, search for that font size in particular. That'll give you only options suited to your needs visually. You can always write a publisher/email , and they will give you options based on what they produce, also let them know what you'd like to see them publish.

The first Bible I ever got was a 1994 Quest study Bible and I still have it and I was able to get another 1994 because I want both my sons to have the Bible I got saved on I just love the quest study Bible.

The pages seem thin. Lots of show through. For someone with visual impairment who needs large print, do the negative points for ghosting cancel the positive points for font size? Or maybe it’s still better than ghosting and small font. Thankfully I don’t need large print yet, but I appreciate your review because I am getting older and who knows how long before I do.

Thank you for the comparisons at the end. I am visually impaired and you are correct in saying and thinking that a little larger line spacing IS helpful. I wasn't visually impaired when I got my 1st Quest Study Bible back in the 90's and I have missed not having it as a good Study Bible for the last 15 years. 🙏🏼✝️

I came across a quote that turned how I felt about my own doubt upside down. " Faith is not the absence of doubt but the presence of belief". Doubt has such a negative connotation that we fail to see it is our faith, that leads us to search for God when we have doubts. 👍

I like the Jeremiah Study Bible for casual bible reading. The print is easy to read and he has a few notes. I like Dr. Jeremiah because he is encouraging and positive. His personality and attitude are seen in the footnotes of this bible.

Ive Been meaning to get one myself but i need to know if this Bible has got verse 21 from Matthew chapter 17. As i am aware that in some Bibles in RSV & NIV translations this particular verse has been left out most of the times. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know, so i can make a decision, thanks!

Hosanna Revival Bibles are stunning! I have three in different translations and I love them so very very much. This is a great review! Thank you.
