Online you would do this at pidlitacka.cz/en otherwise you'd need to go to a DPP ticket office,

Check the updated video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHubamNmeZ2Wi5o and at 00:57 it shows you that the main entry to the platforms (the centre entry passage) is in the middle of the upper concourse or what the station calls Level -1.

Thanks for the video. Our 18 year old daughter goes to university there and loves Prague. She isn't going to come home for summer so she can enjoy the city in what is a once in a hundred year condition.

Hi Brett, I hope your daughter knows how to cook! Either that or it's take-out food. It's an excellent time to hire a bike for a day and cycle the riverside. Look me up for a walking tour if you visit.

It's the same floor as where the ticket offices are located i.e. -1. Go to the end that has the Billa supermarket and it's almost opposite. Read the page at livingprague.com/prague-transport/driving-prague/

Hi Angelina, the composer is Bedřich Smetana. The title of the piece is called Vltava and is part of the Má Vlast symphony. If you want to know which orchestra is playing it then you'll need to contact the market organisers at [email protected]

Hi living, How to buy the discount ticket for child? Is it that press the blue one first then press the green one? I can not find any video to show how to buy the discount.
@livingprague6239
@livingprague6239 6 жыл бұрын
Hi there, the video shows a green button marked "discounted" top right on the machine. Press that button first, then press the tariff that you want i.e. 12 (child price for a CZK24 ticket which is good for 30 minutes) or 16 (child price for the CZK32 90 minute ticket) and it will show you the "green" price.

what need do when ticked is validaded and change bus, tram or metro. nothing? insert it machine again ? or just jump in bus and hold ticked so long it expire? i bet i can just jump in trams and busses from back door so long as i have valid ticket? and if you are local they just free rides
@livingprague6239
@livingprague6239 7 жыл бұрын
Once you have validated the ticket then you can travel for the time allowed i.e. if you validate a CZK24 ticket then you are good for 30 minutes with as many changes as you want. If you validate a CZK32 ticket you are good for 60 minutes (90 mins off peak). It works the same for 24 hour and 72 hour passes. Locals have to pay too. Have a good trip :-)

hi, can you purchase 3 day travelcard from airport to use on trams and train and buses? and can you use bank notes and get change? thanks
@livingprague6239
@livingprague6239 8 жыл бұрын
Hi there, you cannot buy the 3 day pass at the airport, only at the train stations DPP booths, tourist information centres at the bus/train stations and main metro stations like Muzeum and Mustek. You cannot use banknotes on regular public transport but you can use them and get change if you use the Airport Express to get from the Airport to the Main Train Station close to Wenceslas Square.

hi living prague, small question. is there a pass for 3 days?? or 2 days?? if yes, can i purchase it from the same ticket machine?? thanks
@jasonholt4908
@jasonholt4908 8 жыл бұрын
Hi there, only the 24 hour pass can be bought from the machine. There is no 2 day pass. To get the 3 day pass you'll need to visit one of the transport hubs i.e. muzeum or mustek. You can also get it at the tourist information centres at Florenc bus station or the main train station. It costs CZK310. Validate like a normal single ticket and it's then valid for 72 hours. No photo required.

Very nice. Going there this year and your videos are very informative. Just wondering ...... does it snow at this time?? or was it just that it was a warm 2015 and one does not need snow shoes?? Here in Canada its cold and we need our snow shoes in winter or else..... Dont want to take them on holiday as they are heavy. Just wondering...
@jasonholt4908
@jasonholt4908 8 жыл бұрын
It's unlikely that Prague would get enough snow to require snow shoes but you do want to be wearing a good pair of boots. There can be some ground laying snow between November and March but mainly the issue will be ice so boots with good grip are advised. Have fun,

Hi, Can I buy metro tickets for Euro, or I have to buy Czk in advance?
@livingprague6239
@livingprague6239 8 жыл бұрын
+Viktor István Juhász Hi Viktor. The machines only take CZK coins or the offices and tabaks take CZK notes as well. Nobody takes Euros for transport tickets not even at the airport. If you want tickets in advance the only option is to buy the Survival Kit at www.livingprague.com/headstart.htm. Otherwise you'll have to change money at the airport/station or the external ticket machine at the airport bus stop is supposed to accept credit cards but I've not confirmed that. Jason
