Prague Park and Ride How It Works

The Prague Park and Ride video seeks to help people understand how to use the Prague Park and Ride system. On entry, if vehicle camera recognition is active it will print your vehicle registration number plate on the other side of the ticket therefore your ticket is linked to your car and cannot be used by another car.
This is the modern P&R ticket machine for payment
There are seven parts to it, screen, control panel, card reader, pay by coins, pay by card, pay by notes, receipt and change.
1) On the control panel select your language and it will say "insert ticket".
2) The white light will flash below the card reader until you insert the card.
3) The machine reads the card and displays what you have to pay on the screen.
4) You choose the method of payment card, note or coin.
5) If you want a receipt press the button under the word "Učtenka".
6) Your receipt and any change is returned at the base of the machine.
7) The white light below the card reader flickers to remind you to take the card and an audible alarm begins after 5 seconds.
8) If at any point you want to cancel the process and retrieve your P&R ticket then press the button under the word Storno.
9) Exit barrier should open automatically but if it doesn't, insert your ticket into the reader.
10) If it still does not open there should be a manned office nearby or press the button on the card reader and speak English for a while. The gate opens!
The Prague Park and Ride video includes a quick run-through of me paying for a day of parking. I insert the ticket, I'm told it is CZK50 to pay, I insert CZK50 in change (I could have put in a note top right and got change), I press the button for a receipt, I take the ticket and the receipt.
The reason I take the receipt is in the event of being delayed when exiting i.e. like Christmas or in general if the gate does not accept the ticket, I can show that I've paid.
