So I tried different yarns and different hook sizes, but nothing worked. So I bought the exact hook you are using in the tutorial, Susan Bates 5,5mm. The difference!!! I could not get my round 3 to gauge with the 6mm hook I had. But 5,5mm Susan Bates wonder hook? I'm hooked, it's like magic. The structure of what I'm making is also much better than with any other hook/yarn combination I've tried so far. This was totally worth the €20 I spend on a packet of crochet hook sizes I already had :P

Purchased the poncho pattern. Tried to follow the pictures. Came here, tried to follow the video. Nothing is helping. The placement of stitches is really not clear. The video is not helpful.

Is there any way a hood can be added to this, if so could you advise how, thank you x

Hi, you asked for feedback. I am getting used to what you are doing, having your say what you are doing at the time of the stitch is more helpful. At any point I didn't see you tell us what size the median should be in size. I didn't see a size chart in the pattern either. I think that would be helpful. I am at row 13 now and wondering if I should add another row or stop. It is a long way to go to see if it will actually fit. Please advise, if you are still monitoring this video. I have emailed you as well.

yup me too, row 9 I wish you had gone through it 2x and laid it flat to show us. But I finally figured it out. I did a lot of frogging till I finally got it.

I bought this pattern a while ago and finally had the opportunity to look at it. I am a pretty good crotcheter, but your pattern was written oddly. So, I decided I would put it down and try again another day. While looking for some video instruction, I cam across this video!! I am going to try it again. I didn't realize I needed a #2 weight and cotton. What a find, I thought I would never make it, and with this video, I can finally understand your written pattern. Thank you.....

Your channel came up recently on my recommended list. I couldn't be more thrilled with your Kismet Poncho. The first one I made didn't last more than a few days after I made it! My grandsons girlfriend claimed it as soon as she saw it lol It is so beautiful, easy to make and the instructions were very easy to follow. Thank you very much for blessing me with this free pattern. I am now a huge fan of your work. 😊

Had to watch carefully and took me a couple hours but I got it! If the music bugs you, turn down the volume. This is definitely an intermediate pattern.

Love this pattern, have made quite a few. I'm a crafter and I make all kinds of ponchos, but always come back to this one. It's quick, well instructed and has that Boho quirkiness. Especially like the joining technique for the squares when assembling. Thank You Regina for sharing your design!

My square turns out so small i use hook 6 and i did every well but it also is waving....😮 I started 3 times over again because i realy want this poncho 😄 Now is do i all over again with hook 7 ... i hope that will make it bigger. Can you please give the measurement of the square of your poncho 🙏

@chrissymeijer-vonchrismar4390 hi there! The required gauge and Finished Measurements of the piece are on the linked project page :) likely you will need to size your hook up a lot! Sounds far too small.

That’s pretty cool!! Hey, there are a bunch of links on your website that don’t work. Perhaps you could look into that. Would’ve sent you a message there, but there’s no method to be able to do that.

Omg I've been looking for this for a while! I knew the way I devised was clunky and looked weird (yo twice, pull both through 1 loop on hook, repeat for however many stitches minus one, yo once, pull through). This is so much better, thank you!

Ok I know this video came out quite some time ago- but I have a question. Lol In round 22- Would I be able to decrease the amount of DC’s in the ‘V-Stitches’ if I were to want a Less- Ruffly finished piece? Or would that mess up the rounds that come afterwards?

You crochet exactly how I do. I just love how you showed how you did different things. I used to make halter tops in the 70s and sold 100s of them. So much fun to design. I’ve been making a few lost soles shawls. I watched the guy spider fibers tutorial and they are fun. So I remember I made this one halter that was triangle and went to the internet to see if I could refresh my old brain haha and ran across your blog. I love the design of the cups as they will move differently to crochet together. And will fit all sizes! I just completed a halter with a skull in center and under neath boobs a lace bottom . Your patterns are written very well. I’ll follow your blog now. Thanks so much

So I have tried this many times and mine keeps coming out too small. I have used a 5.5 a 6 and a 7 mm hook and a 4 weight yarn and its too small.
@MoraleFiber7 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear you are having issues! You may have to go up more hook sizes than you think - I commonly receive feedback that my tension is MUCH looser than the average crocheter's :) So use whatever size hook you need to get the gauge, which may be bigger than you expect. I hope it works out!

Love the vest but this is the most complicated pattern and video I have ever attempted... not making any sense at all... I am on round 13 and have started over and over again... I have been crocheting for years and none of this makes sense especially at warp speed where you brush right through the hard spots and dont slow down...😮
