4:00 "pinball became legal in NY and soon the rest of the country" Nope pinball was legal in most of the country NY was one of the few places where it was illegal so they joined the rest of the country.

Another thing Stern began doing was producing cheaper tables (around the $4,000 to $5,000 range), with cheaper licenses, simpler gameplay, and a few cut corners. They've been calling it the Home Pin tier, and everything in that tier wasn't too interesting, though Jurassic Park Home Edition looks pretty interesting...

For my quarter, I would rank Eight Ball Deluxe as the most prolific, enduring, and important machines ever created. This game was in most every arcade, but also found home in many bars, and it tended to stick around while other machines were cycled out for newer models. Iconic sound, and relatable gameplay, one of the best designs ever made.

i really didnt know pinball was in a decent position nowadays surely its not in Germany as far as I can tell there are no new machines around to play. The only thing available are old machines in a private museum in my town. But i really look forward to play them :D. meanwhile pinaball arcade will do fine i hope :) ty for your series I binged the 2 hours down straight

The only physical pinball machine I've ever played was the Simpsons' Pinball Party, back when I was a kid over ten years ago at Chuckies. Even so, I've always loved pinball and I long to build my own machine.

Didn't Data East get its start making pinball machines in this era? For being such a comprehensive documentary, There is no mention of them.

i didn't know medieval madness and attack from mars were so highly revered. i mean...they're GOOD. but i always liked other williams machines from that era way more. Champion's pub, Fish tales, JUNKYARD. how can you hate junkyard? it's got the friggin' sloppy jalopy race

34:58 in fact, cactus Kenya was so loved that they made two remakes when it comes to the game code one of them is altered by Chicago Company, and those two remakes are cactus Canyon continued and cactus Canyon remake
@redstonecommander51902 ай бұрын
Now I don’t know what company that made the continued version of the code, but I do know that Chicago Kings Company created the remake version
@redstonecommander51902 ай бұрын
34:58 and I’ll tell you why Chicago gains company really did a really good number on remastering cactus Canyon. Chicago Company saw that cactus Canyon was made by Williams, but it was pretty rushed and the code did not get finished properly so Chicago games decided to update the code still remain its core elements and update it they did

Never liked Fireball, the gap between flippers was way too wide and the spinner would shoot it straight down the middle as much as anywhere else.
