What speed do you get with the SSD adapter, I have an mSATA adapter on my TZ31WN with R0091N7 BIOS (I believe this is the latest) with a 128GB M.2 SSD and it's stuck at 33MB/s read speed, I think the BIOS is not utilising the fastest UDMA speed as it should be at the maximum 133MB/s.

Also, have you been able to find a 4gb+ RAM module that will work with this unit? I’ve tried a few different 4gb sticks and they won’t boot past bios or are incorrectly defected at only 256mb. Tried pc2 4200 and pc2 5500 and pc2 6400 4gb variants. The CPU should support up to 8gb max but tricky since we only have a single RAM slot not a lot of options? ( most kits are dual not single )

What windows 11 build? I tried and the Vaio TZ CPU u7700 doesn’t support POPCNT which cannot be bypass at this time. So you must be using an older build prior to Version 24H2, build 25905?

Replacing the batteries usually doesn't work when the voltage gets too low... these batteries have a suicide mechanism that detects the low voltage and sets a flag in the microcontroller eeprom causing the led to flash red and after that it won't work even with new replaced batteries. The eeprom bit can be re-set using an eprom programmer but at that point it's easier to just buy a chinese copy for a few dollars. The copies work well and don't have the suicide 'feature'. If I have to buy a new one every 4-5 years it's still cheaper than buying the original battery.

I thought about reviving my Dyson V6 Slim battery pack but decided to get the higher capacity larger battery pack from the bay for around 30 aussie dollars. It's been in there for about 4 years and still works fine.

I put one of those zif to msata adapters in my HP 1000 Netbook and it runs well with Win7. Also did the same with Sony VAIO P series netbook, also runs well with Win7.

Win7 is better for that laptop and is perfectly usable even now in 2024. Opera is spyware....

If your woozoo fan turns on, spins and appears to work but shuts down completely after a very short time (within minutes), then the problem may lie with the clock/timing circuitry. When the fan is first turned on, it defaults to an "always on" state. This is indicated by none of the three lights for 1, 2, or 4 hours being lit. If the fan stops shortly after powering on, try pressing one of the time mode buttons (1, 2 or 4 hours) then wait to see if the fan still stops moments later. If the fan continues to work (ie: does not shut down completely), then there is likely a problem with the "always on" circuitry. I have not dived into the circuitry of the unit that failed for me nor have I tried to reverse engineer it to create a rough schematic, therefore I can't specify exactly what the circuit is that may have an issue. Perhaps it's a 555-timer type of circuit that has an incorrect or missing resistor or capacitor for the "always on" state. The resistor/capacitor combination circuitry that sets the 1, 2 and 4 hour timing may not have a problem with those components, thus the fan will not shut off (until the normal prescribed time has passed). I am posting this information here for anyone who comes across this same issue with their fan. The diagnosis may also apply for fans that fault on the 1, 2, or 4 hour settings. Just avoid using that setting. At some point if I am ambitious and wish to further investigate, I may take apart my fan to access the circuit board to see if any parts in the timing circuit look damaged or missing. But for now, I just avoid the "always on" default state.
