I would agree with your overall assessment. I just happened to find a 2004 C4s convertible in excellent condition for its 95,000 miles from the original owner almost 6 years ago. For the points you raised I was looking for a coupe, but just fell in love with the car I purchased, and certainly no regrets. I’m lucky to live in Southern California near the beach and on a 63 degree morning in December, driving with the top down will be delightful. Oh yeah, mechanicals are still in great shape at 137,000. I’ve done all the recommended services and wear and tear parts replaced, but no serious worries. All the best!

Beautiful car. Atlas Gray is one of the most under-rated colors you can get on any Porsche. Must see in person to appreciate.

Młodzieńcze , w twoim wieku ludzie mają pęd do szybkości a w dodatku mają mało pieniędzy . By mieć nie jeden a kilka aut, którymi jeżdżą w różne miejsca...

I like them, and I didn't think open topped motoring was for me until we had a convertible in the family, then I was hooked! I think the 911 convertible's biggest sales issue was right in front of you in that video - the Boxster. A third of the money buys you as good a condition car, that was designed as a convertible and has less buffeting and flex, and they are lighter and more nimble, with plenty of manuals available.

A question. Does the 981 Cayman S or GTS have shorter gearing in manual form than the 718 GTS 4.0 manual?

Great video and nice ride! I have a 997 Turbo with tiptronic and although I wish I had the manual it’s not a deal breaker for me. Very hard to find manual 996 and 997 here in Japan

I have a Cayman 981 2.7 & a 997TT gen 1.5. TT is savagely fast, but Cayman better in every other way - handling is sublime, sounds brilliant with PSE, I can get 40MPG on a long motorway run. 911 is the iconic car though. Feels longer, heavier. Cayman on a windy road - prepare to be gobsmacked when you push it a bit, truly wonderful. BTW Cayman is slightly wider inside.

KWs works better without the Anti roll bars makes the ride harsh and compromise the individual wheel articulation and worst part makes the car feels extremely edgy and not confidence inspiring. The best without After market Anti roll bar with coilovers.

I take my hat off to the owner of this car. They must really love this particular model, you spend so much money refreshing, upgrading and retrofitting many, many parts. Having owned a 997 S for 10 years, I can say that they are an absolutely great all round car, which you can drive for many years, without getting bored.

Hello my friend! Thank you for the fabulous content . I watching your channel here in Los Angeles California! I finally purchased the car of my dreams. A 2006 997.1 Cab. Although I heard so much about the potential issues that may come with urge gen one 997. I still took the plunge . From an individual that really too good care of it . I’m the 3rd owner . This will be a weekend car for me . I have other daily’s . My question: hope it’s not a dumb question, but is there a wrong or right way to warm these cars up? Some say don’t let it idle no more than 1-2 minutes. Others say start it and drive . Then I heard you can idle it until it meet its temperature. What do recommend? It s kind of confusing. Thank you and keep up the great work !

Here in California, Cab is a must . I’ll hate to not have the option to drop the top on the sunny beautiful days by the beach . Plus you can hear the exhaust more when you’re driving aggressive! Just my thoughts… tapping in from Los Angeles 🎉
