Thank you so much for this. I could not for the life of me figure out where that little copper piece went. I'm not sure how taking the clippers apart and putting them back together fixed the problem, but they're working again, so thanks for saving me $70 on a new set!

I dropped them. Now the lever arm rotates around 360° like the arm on a clock. Can it be fixed? They are not the cordless. I bought them 20 years ago or maybe 15 years ago.

The pin in thats on the lever is probably broken. It's might need to be replaced

You don’t have to disassemble the whole thing to zero gap, all you had to do was loosen the the Philip screws on the back

Fr lol I used to watch these guys destroy clippers when I was teaching at barber school. They would break them sell them then go get more. I’d buy them fix them with the bone yard full of parts I got and use it to give a demonstration with it.

everytime i put the lever open and close, it doesn’t look straight or aligned whenever i play with the lever, it looks like it’s not aligned or something . is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for the video it helped me identify where that long narrow part that holds the blade went. :) I don't know if you know about it but they do sell Ultra Violet boxes to store clippers and scissors in to disinfect them between customers. I am not sure about the required exposure time for adequate disinfection to take place but I think it is fast. The labs that work with dangerous viruses always have ultra violet scrubbers in their exhaust stacks to prevent leaks of a dangerous pathogen, so I know it works. I don't know if there is a health risk to being exposed to the ultra violet light repeatedly everyday but skin cancer might be a risk. Thanks again for the video!

I just bought a used one of these. It hasn't been used much. The blades were loose, the black holder wasn't in place and the copper thing was off. Luckily, they were all there and I got it all back together. My wife cut my hair and loved the new machine. After watching this, I'm going to go take it all apart again. Now, I know where the copper thing goes. Thanks for the video!!

Itll help if you have your lever set to close after you put on the brown piece there's a part on the back side that stays under the slide bar

Hiya, any chance u could show me how to fix the lever as mine is not grabbing anymore and it wont turn on . Goes on and off and its not grabbing but i cant see it properly in the vid :) many thanks :)

Wahls warranty/customer service is phenomenal. Send those Magic Clips back to Wahl and you’ll receive them back to your doorstep in two weeks. Don’t worry about your clippers warranty period, if needed, wahl will contact you if any payment is necessary for repair. Cool Care 5 in 1 degrades the plastic housing over time and it’ll eventually break.

@@Messup7654 91% alcohol or remove blades then clean. every plastic housing clipper I've owned has been damaged buy 5 in 1 sprays. the housing fractures by the blade adjustment lever and/or the plastic deteriorates inside the housing where the comb/still blade lever screws in. I had to JB weld the locknut to keep it secured otherwise the clipper would easily slide to the closed position when cutting. Also, you could try hanging the clipper with blades facing down in hopes of the 5in1 wouldn't pool on the plastic housing. take care bro!

NEVER, EVER!!! face the brown part while disassembling or reassembling this clipper. The brown part just popped out and hit me exactly in the left eye, but fortunately I can see ahead, oh Thank god... Watch out folks!!

Thanks for the Video man. I have these clippers and accidentally dropped mine, now they are making a weird noise and pull my hair whilst cutting. I disassembled and put them back together 20 times. Am I missing something?

Very helpful tutorial, BTW my question is about my new magic clip, so I notice there is a movement on the upper blade(cutting blade) every time I turn it on or off the cutting blade is a little on the left side or right side, it doesn't stay in the center since my old clippers are not like that, do you think is that normal or should I change it?

Its normal it stops were ever the blade is when you turn off the clippers some time the blade will be to the right or left even the center depending on when you turn off the clipper

The bar that hold the bottom blade will hold the clip down

Is the problem of the brown piece is fault in design in all Wahl cordless clippers? My clipper is new and it has this problem !

@@josephalejos5443 But think of it the brown plastic piece has no groove for the spring to fit in so it is natural to pop up from any touch they should have made a groove to avoid this problem look at the direction of the spring and the plastic piece of this clipper kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGrFqZqvaq91jdU Is the clipper that has the problem is the one you disassembled or turned it on without blades ? My problem started when I turned on the clipper without the blades so the brown piece pops up and when I install it again it became popping up when touching it
