Its been so long that I really feel I gotta make it special... That being said I'm still planning on doing it :) I might do something stupid like add 10 gimicks for remix 10 lol

Unusual time signatures the game basically.
@sfisher923Күн бұрын
Imagine if someone charts the 181 time signatures of "Breaking All Illusions" in this but makes it the worst Dream Theater chart in all of rhythm game history (Charting everything in 4/4, somehow overcharting the song, tempo mapping not matching the song's BPM)

9:55 The regular max amount of rows is 16, for custom levels. . I think the regular game doesn’t go above like 5 at a time.
@1257PlaysКүн бұрын
You can't, actually - anything above 16 makes the game fail to load the level immediately

3:15 quintuplets my beloved. It actually is in 4, but the difference between a regular note and a quarter note quintuplet is very small so it *sounds* like its regular speed unless you're locked in to the BPM.

I got to 14 on my first try and only died cuz i dont know how to read music, i feel like its only hard if you know music cuz it was incredibly easy, ignorance is bliss and all, i might come back after learning how to read music to be sure

I hate rhythm games, period (I suck at them because they make me anxious because i fear I'll miss one and then get off rhythm and lose). I'd probably actually be pretty good at this because there's no rhythm.

They call this hell and there aren't any nested tuplets? I call clickbait. But yeah only having the sheet music rhythm and sometimes the audio cues makes this pretty rough of you're not well practiced at reading rhythm on sheet music. I've played a few instruments off and on and learned the basics of reading sheet music (enough to understand the rhythms presented here at least on an intellectual level) but the speed at which this wants you to figure stuff out is... not nice for anyone without well developed sight reading/audiation skills.

This is like one of the most underrated channel I have found, and all because I wanted to see someone playing Rhythm Doctor. Your editing is amazing, wish you the best.
@Tyrano7394 күн бұрын
Rhythm Doctor is my favorite rhythm game because of its story, humor and attention to detail. Glad to see it featured here, about 2 days after I found your channel! If you find the time for them, please play the night levels as well. They're not just the normal levels but harder, sometimes they feature entirely different tracks and mechanics that are crazy fun once you get them down. Except for 5-2N, that one I will never succeed at.

I’m pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong) but this game’s soundtrack is original. Therefore, I don’t think any of it is really copyrighted

I your right, plus I haven't been striked yet so I think I'm in the clear! (I hope...)
@16BitGamerCat3 күн бұрын
most of it is original, yes, but there are some like Bomb Sniffing Pomeranian and Rollerdisco Rumble that aren't original, and as such are credited to their creators. this isn't counting the Crossover stages in the basement, which are originals from the games they are crossovers with, assuming the MD stages are originals. Honestly it is only a matter of time before Taro gets a hand in a crossover stage, and i for one am terrified of what Taro will do with the level of power the RD engine gives to level makers.

Plenty of Rhythm games do quintuplets in their later levels. Rhythm Doctor and ADoFAI have some more explicit examples, but plenty of scrolling cue games include them in charts where they fit with the song.

"I have a bad case of skipping dialogue." Yes, we can tell. For Logan, he was lovesick basically. Also, you aren't necessarily curing diseases, but regulating heartbeats to deal with heart conditions/stress to prevent things like heart attacks. Edit: clarification, think of it as literal defibrillation...electro-stimulation of muscles. Every tap is a little shock, and hitting on beat makes the heart beat in a stable manner.
@jmvr5 күн бұрын
Also you, the player, are just an intern over the internet, doing the defibrillation by pressing a single button. You don't have a pixel character, because you're at home, doing intern stuff. The farmer guy that he thought was the player, is just some random guy to give the player a tutorial.

biggest issue with this game imo is the latency no offset options already but there's such an immense amt of input latency too and that's such a killer. I don't know why but it makes it so much harder and less fun

8:10 you can use the real window movement on linux too, but (at least with kwin) the level will be pretty much unplayable because the window (for whatever reason) loses keyboard focus. the simulated movement (the setting you are playing on) is less resource intensive and more compatible. and while we are at it, what distro do you use? which DE/WM? wine or proton?
@Derpediah5 күн бұрын
I'm on ubuntu with Plasma DE, I just tried it and it works really well! Thats so cool! I didn't even know it was a option!
@AutNILSm5 күн бұрын
@Derpediah There is a game called windowkill which uses Window movement for pretty much everything. Doesn't work on Wine though.
