It’s only natural that doomed men would start to think about their creator in such a situation; perhaps even many who had hitherto before been unbelievers might even have an urgent rethink. In such trying circumstances, it was a testament, not only to the crew and the band’s duty, but also to their faith. The plight of the doomed is an almost hopeless one; that’s one of the reasons why a person condemned to be sent to the gallows in the UK before the abolition of the death penalty was given at least until three Sundays after the verdict to get their house in order and to make their peace with their maker, as it were. What with appeals, it was sometimes more, but they were guaranteed at least three. Although perhaps not the same circumstances here, in either way there was a certain death sentence awaiting and not many are sure of knowing the day of their death in advance and having a last chance, had they before been neglectful against such a day. Not pleasant to contemplate, I would say. But, as a brand plucked from the burning, maybe there was a blessing in disguise amidst this tragedy.

Probably the most saddest scene in the movie.An old couple lying in bed all the while a mom putting her kids to bed peacefully making them not scared despite the inevitable.

2 years back i was at the funeral of someone who was my church mate, as the coffin was being lowered to the grave, this song was played. I broke into tears and since then I have been searching for this song for it reminds me of him... May his soul continue to rest in peace.
