I am in the process of getting my permanent residence and I am nervous since I have not yet submitted my files. It appears that the requirements are more extensive than what is published on their site, is that correct? I am happy to hear that you can send missing documents by mail that is a relief at least. Thank you for your video!
@ThatJapanLifeАй бұрын
Good luck! What’s on the site is likely accurate; it’s just that there may be variations on the types of docs listed bases on your history and status in the country. 😊

Where did you give birth? Is it foreigner friendly? I don't speak Nihongo fluently. I'm a first time mom, and still yet to decide on where or how to give birth. i found your video very insightful.. thanks for sharing..

So happy that you found it helpful, and congratulations on your pregnancy! The facility I gave birth in was very small and did not have dedicated staff who spoke English. Not gonna lie, it was TOUGH as my Japanese at the time was also not very good. But, two things I can attest to is that 1) prior research (including translating whatever materials the hospital gives you) helps a lot, and 2) the Japanese staff really dis their best to accommodate me despite the language difference ❤️

Hi! Did you bring your own birthing gown? If so, could you share where you bought it? I know I shouldn’t feel anxious about showing almost every part of my body to the doctors and my partner during the labor but I am! Wait, I’m not gonna be naked at some point, am I? 🥺😅 Also, if you don’t mind, what things did you prepare and bring to the hospital for labor/baby/staying? Thank you so much! I appreciate it! 🥰🙏🏻🙇🏻♀️
@ThatJapanLifeАй бұрын
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I completely understand the anxiety. Been there 😅 I did not bring my own birthing gown and definitely was not completely naked at any point during the delivery 🙂 The hospital provided me with the birthing gown. They gave me a list beforehand of which items they will provide and which ones I have to bring myself. Any hospital would likely do the same 😊

I'm also self studying and i didn't use any of that books 🤣 before studying japanese, i always watch anime but after i started studying japanese, i realized watching anime is not gonna help you learn Japanese because their phrases are more casual and not usually used in real life japanese.. I switched to watching Japanese reality shows and dramas and it helped me a lot..

Congratulations! I didn't realize it took so long, and that I'd need to renew my Spouse visa regardless (it expires in a month), so based on your info I've decided to just renew my Spouse visa and go for the PR at a later time because it sounds like too much of a headache to do both at the same time!

Very useful video!! I am also in a similar situation as yours. The video, did not mention too many details about the income requirement, and I also checked on the internet, and it only mentioned that we need at least 3 million yen annual income plus the dependants. I am wondering if foreign income also counts in the application of PR. I think I have matched all the requirements of PR except 'stable income' which I am not sure about.

Congratulations! If you connected it with your savings account, the amount will be deducted automatically. Otherwise, a paper bill will be sent to your address, and you can pay by bringing that bill to any convenience store.
