I really like he ability to store more at the bottom and the front of the bag, bringing the extra weight lower and closer to the center of gravity of the bike, neat stuff. Im more and more starting to wonder about the real weight difference between rackless bags like the Mosko Reckless or Giant loop coyote and great basin since those have most of their weight higher and more at the back than this Nelson Rigg setup. Sure this Nelson Rigg setup is heavier on paper, but in practice, having that weight lower and more toward the front of the bike might negate that weight difference. I'm sure some physic or engineering nerds could sort that question out...
@Nelsonriggusa25 күн бұрын
Yes, there are two sides to every coin. We have strap on luggage too... and the Quick release plates make it a no brainer. The Pannier racks act as a roll cage for the bike, and are super sturdy for the "travel to and from"... but quick release and the bags are OFF the bike! All of the other strap on bags... you just would not want to keep strapping on and unstrapping each day. Lower and more towards the center really works well out in the real world. We are digging the new bags!

Do they fit underneath on the dual sport saddlebags?
@NelsonriggusaАй бұрын
Yes Sir! Well, the Hurricane Dual Sport Saddlebags, they will fit perfectly down there. We would recommend the The Hurricane RiggPak as it is a perfect match with the same material and all. These match the RG-020 Trails End Dual Sport Saddlebags, but they are not compatible. The RG-020 are close to 10 years old in design now and probably need to be reworked so as to accept RiggPaks. As they currently are, there is a tool pouch on the underside that would be rendered useless if a RiggPak were installed. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your inquiry. When it comes to these Adventure Saddlebags, the 4 straps at each corner need to wrap around a pannier rack in order for the bags to be stable. Looking for something to replace my worn out Ventura sport tail bag. This one looks like a contender however the video only goes into how to mount it on a dirt bike and longtitudally at that. Whatever replaces my Ventura bag will be mounted sideways and onto the Ventura rack that I still use. Also, how do you access the contents of it? Thanks.
@Nelsonriggusa2 ай бұрын
This one here is a 10 liter roll bag. The end of the bag has a roll top. It could be mounted vertically or horizontally... but we probably have better options for your Ventura Rack. @@Nelsonriggusa thanks. The 12l Hurricane bag might do the job. The others look to be too big. Currently I use the Ventura tail bag as a permanent fixture on the bike. In it I store a compressor, tyre repair kit, a few tools and sundry items. And of course, the requisite stubby holder (what you guys in the US might call a bottle cooler or similar) for that refreshing ale at the end of a ride. I'll see if the local stockists have it in stock so I can see how it looks in the bike. Thanks Martin

@@Nelsonriggusa I like the sleek design of the bag itself from the commuter series and maybe something like the straps you have on your trails end / hurricane series for example. Any kind that could attach it to the pillion seat, while requiring the bike's key to remove the bag from the bike. I've gotten this bag in the lite size over the trails end or hurricane series because of it's sleek design for a sports bike, and I plan to use it more so that I don't have to carry as many things back and forth, than as a bag I would bring in with me. (gloves, small air pump/pressure gauge, emergency tool kit, travel thermos etc) This way I don't have to carry the things back and forth, and don't have to wear a backpack. Unfortunately, I do not have anywhere near my parking to store anything for my bike. Thus, a bag search. (I also bought the touring size bag to swap on when I need to transport bigger items!) Since I plan to use it in a more permanent way, it feels as though being able to lock the bag's zippers becomes somewhat redundant if the bag can be unclipped from the bike easily without needing any keys or otherwise. I do, however, completely understand the purpose was ease of access due to it being a commuter bag! So, no fault on the bag's part for the clips, they are great for their intended use. I will gladly just attach a cable as you suggested in order to be able to use this style of bag. Thanks for the info and responses! have a good one.

Thank you for your detailed explanation, totally get it and totally see your need. Something we have used in the past to secure quick release buckles are these amzn.to/4iepm9V stainless steel zip ties. Run them around the buckles top to bottom (we have used 2 per buckle) and now a set of snips is needed to get the bag off the bike, unless they cut the straps with a knife. Thank you for choosing Nelson Rigg, we appreciate you. We will put our thinking caps on and will work on a lockable / quick release option.

@Nelsonriggusa2 ай бұрын
It is possible, depending on the screen protector he is using. We have screen covers on all of the phones we use here at the shop and they all work perfectly. The only one we have seen not work so well is the otter box style that sits off of the actual phone screen. Much more pressure is needed to make contact. In short, it works fine with most screen protectors.

We have nearly 50k miles of testing on 5 different machines. KTM 950 Super Enduro, KTM 1190 Adv R, KTM 390 Adv, Yamaha T7, BMW F850GSA, and BMW R1250 GSA. We have found them to work great and go the distance. Mufflers pointed at the straps on a very few / specific machines has been the biggest strap issue, not rubbing. The straps are TIGHT and if they do not wiggle / chaff they don't break.
