Do you need to pay for fine dining? And can you do it everyday?

It was free for us to eat at the dining room we were assigned to. We could eat there every night and choose what we wanted from their menu. There were other restaurants and dining options which cost money, but this trip we mostly stuck to the dining room and the buffet. We did get the coffee card and that worked out very nice as well. Nice video and welcome to my country. BUT We do not use the bidet INSTEAD of paper, but AFTER paper. We have the feeling that wiping off is never as good as washing so first we wipe and then we wash. Also we tend to do so only in uor own homes or hotel rooms. We do not use the bidet when we are at friends' places or similar situations. Excuse me for the totally unrequested and akward explanation! 😬

Great question. The best part about the palace is that it was free to visit. The Palace is basically a series of shops, attractions, and historic locations now. You are free to walk through most of it. There are a lot of shops, but there are some historic places you can take tours if you would like. Thank you for watching and have a great day! Thanks for watching. We enjoyed going up in the morning before it got too hot because it was May and things were starting to warm up during the day. We also liked the morning because it was less crowded. The last time we went up it was February and there was actually snow at the top. We thought that was really cool. - Troyer

@@pteddythankfully the transferboat to shore was free and included in our cruise. If you choose to do an excursion, that transportation will start after you arrive on shore. They had a special line and separate board time for those who had paid for an excursion so they wouldn't be late but nobody paid for the transfer to shore. Once you get to shore there is a small fee for the cable car if that is how you choose to get up the cliff and that was a really cool ride. ~Dianna

We are looking at booking an Excursion called Explore Oia on your own, but it's only offered in afternoon (hours after we dock). Do you recommend skipping the Excursion and just get off on a tender ship and to the island asap and find our own way over to Oia?

I am from Germany. What's really trendy right now is a 'Seilpyramide' (google it for photo). Many of the newer playgrounds have those. You can really hurt yourself there if you fall, some are like 6 meters high. But I guess it's safe enough as all playgrounds must meet german safety standards. Also, the playground in the video looks nice, the 'Seilbahn' is very common on german playgrounds, and I always enjoyed it very much when I was a kid. Working in a Kindergarten, I like the double swings from the american playground video, because the smaller kids learn how to use the swing just by watching the older kid (ok, they can also learn it by sitting next to the swing and watching older kids, but children want Action! ;) ). Which is good because they are less dependent on adults showing them or pushing them on the swing. If you are responsible for more than one kid you really don't have time to help them with every step, they also need to and do learn from other kids.
