Hi, Jamie. I don't know if you noticed, but you're saying one extra suffix in the word "Avrupalılaştıramadıklarımızdan mısınız". You added "lar" suffix and said "AvrupalıLARlaştıramadıklarımızdan mısınız".

Thanks Jamie. Great explanation :-). Are you still making these tutorials? If you make a follow-up then it might be worth mentioning that some verbs, e.g. sevmek, require the accusative case even when there is no direct object.

"ğ" is pronounced. there is a clear difference between yourt and yoğurt. istanbul turkish is distorted in this context. however, you can hear "ğ" clearly in all over turkey. for example take a look at those words. eğer (it's not eeer ) ağda ( its not aaada )

Hi FJ, so all Turkish endings will use vowel harmony but there are two types of vowel harmony. the first type of endings will either use an "e" or an "a". I gave the example of ler\lar, but there are other endings that will also switch between e and a depending on the last vowel of the word. So another ending would be den\ dan which means from and it functions the same way that ler\lar does. the second type of vowel harmony doesn't switch between e or a, it switches between i,ı,u and ,ü. An example of this is the suffix for past tense (ex. gel-dim, at-tım, sus-tum, küs-tüm). So a suffix in turkish will either switch between e and a or it will switch between i,ı,u and ,ü. An ending will never use both types of vowel harmony so you won't ever find ler\lar suddenly become lir,lır,lur,lür. Let me know if that wasn't super clear and hopefully I can explain it better.
