Keeping the guard on electrics is the move, they cant really handle the extra line like gas can.

You might hate me for this but, ego has a VERY good string trimmer, the STX4500 its a 17" cutting swath with a LOT of power behind it. Ego easily has the best string trimmer right now, blower soon and mabye even the best mowers in the next 2-3 years. Id start goin ego personally but in all seriousness you should start researchin ego for your needs

I cant believe that Emower is cutting through that. My Gas Honda would probably choke up on that grass. I made the jump to electric on all my stuff (Ryobi) except the mower.
@TripleGreenLawnCare5 ай бұрын
Right! But it’s honestly the blade. When I used the factory greenworks blade things wouldn’t be as clean and the lower would bog down at times. I’m typically cutting with the gator blades and that seems to do the trick with any level of grass (wet and thick included)for the most part. How’s the Ryobi products holding up for you?

They actually come with both….These battery powered mowers are actually cranking out more power than most of those gas mowers and then the new ego commercial mower I’m about to get is the MOST powerful battery or gaz with a “z”
@PaulStregevsky6 ай бұрын
I have the same mower that you have. Greenworks sells a 21-inch hi-lift blade for that mower that works superbly for mulching. I own four of them and rotate through them. On grass, they deliver a cut as fine as my old Snapper 21 with Ninja blades. On leaves, they're not quite as effective as the Snapper but nearly so. I'm not aware that you can buy Gator-type third-party blades for this mower. If you found a source, please share it!

I put the ego gator blades on the mower. You can find them on Amazon or any other place you buy blades from.

Hey man. I bought a 60v Greenworks kit including mower, whipper snipper, chainsaw (via redemption) blower, batteries and charger. The mower was a huge disappointment due to poor cut quality. I found out after getting a complaint from a customer, then realised what was happening. Also lost another customer for the same reason. I've ditched the mower, but got an edger attachment and hedge trimmer too. I love all the existing gear I'm using. Thanks for the video!
@TripleGreenLawnCare6 ай бұрын
Dang, I can’t even be mad at that. My cut quality was a little questionable from any blade that was made by greenworks. I unfortunately threw on an ego gator blade and that changes eveyrhing to be honest. As much as these mowers cost you’d think we had more options to maximize how well this mower can cut but nope…just basic! How’s the hedge trimmer holding up for you?

I had mine for a year(maybe a dozen uses) and it will no longer pressurize. I was using using oxalic acid as directed 1 cup per 1 gallon to remove rust spots off my driveway and sidewalk. Nothing crazy. Took it apart and looked at the motor. It's nothing more than a $20 water pressure diaphragm pump that you can get off Amazon with 2 wires going to a switch board that controls the on and off switch. Other than that, you're paying roughly $180(price without battery) for a plastic wand, tank and some padded straps. This got me thinking though you can get the self priming diaphragm pump off Amazon for $20, a METAL spraying wand for $17 and a 12v rechargeable battery for $17. Build the mechanical bits for $55ish and attach it to water tank/bag you want. But at that price there is offbrand rechargeable sprayers that come in 1-1.5 gallons. The main benefit of building your own is you could make it interchangeable. Say make a bag that holds a 2.5 camping jug, and you have a couple of those with your pesticide/herbicide premixed, and all you would do is swap the jugs out as you use them up. The little diaphragm pump has a intake tube so you'd just pull it out your tank/clip the other tank on and drop the tube back in and continue.... also in hindsight that 4 gallon bag is not light at all when full and it takes up garage space. But I turly believe with some time and boredom you could craft something that works better for you @ a cheaper price and that aside, I'd definitely go with a different brand if you are buying cause regardless it lasted only 1 year.

It’s been cool. I just had my first issue with it about two weeks ago with some leaking. It’s not perfect and definitely could be better but I still do like it a lot. It still gets the jobs done with ease on a regular basis for the most part.

G'day. I like how you kit yourself out with hydration backpack, phone arm band and such. I'm just starting out in the industry, so I'm getting good ideas from you immediately. I contemplated going battery power, but instead bought a self-propelled 21" cut Honda powered petrol mower, a 2 stroke Stihl FS55RC straight shaft plus Stihl blower. Got some extra gear that I already had in terms of trimmers and smaller mower. Cheers fella!

@TheTacticalBaddie Жыл бұрын
@@txvet7738Sorry friend, I meant to comment on the actual video, not respond to your comment. But, since you asked 😁 ASMR stands for “autonomous sensory meridian response,” and just refers to the calming sensation and stimulation you get from enjoying specific, triggering audio or visual stimuli. In this case, the gentle hum of this edger blade coupled with the steady, precise movement and the perfectly straight edge line created from that mess it started out as… beyond satisfying. In short, it’s a “thing” right now. Lol

I guess it is easier to use the string trimmer as an edger if you remove the guard. But if you're going to do that, please warn your viewers that it's a safety hazard.
@TripleGreenLawnCare Жыл бұрын
I’m confused where I told my viewers to take the guard off though? I mean I get where you’re coming from IF I said that but please don’t put words in my mouth. This method can be done with or without the guard(one just involves you being able to see and the other does not). So as I appreciate your comment and what you think is the better method….please note, I didn’t tell anyone to do anything unsafe. Your comment is based solely off what you see which I’m not directing anyone to do, be like me or mirror my practices. That’s your choice and we’re all adults so I’d say if someone is out there without eye protection to mitigate that hazard, that’s on that individual adult!
@PaulStregevsky Жыл бұрын
@@TripleGreenLawnCare I didn't say that you told viewers to remove the guard. But it's common practice for KZbinrs to warn viewers not to emulate them if they're violating the manufacturer's safety guidance.

You know what…I actually didn’t think I “should” have to do that but…noted! Thanks!
