From an 'old' 57-year old dude-kudos Mark! When I lived in Black Diamond we'd often climb Mt Si and mountain bike a night up and down tiger mountain. Way to crush the Issy Alps 100!

Awesome video dude! What a unique route to take on around Hinman. Looked unreal and you excellent viewing conditions on the summit, looked like very little haze/smoke. Hinman is on my list but this route looked sturdy! Haha

Hey, have you seen any women running there? I wonder what’s the dress etiquette given that it’s a much more traditional country

At that time I didn’t see anyone else running. But I would look up Bangalore Marathon - which happens and follow what you see there.

I missed this when it was posted -- maybe before I subscribed to your channel. But the KZbin algorithm surfaced it for me. Nice work filming this. I have a couple questions. 1) I'm surprised how much water was in the creeks in September of 2019. Was it a wet year? 2) When you came to the creek where you round the trestle remains you climbed down into the gully and back up. Did you miss the bypass trail that makes an easier go of it by contouring into the hillside at a roughly level grade?
@MarkGriffith
@MarkGriffith 2 ай бұрын
Hey Monty - I can't remember - :) but looking at the historical rainfall for Washington in Sept of 2019 - looks to be wet between the 7th and the 18th there was 2.5 inches of rain. And yeah I am sure we missed the bypass trails - it would be nice if someone cleaned up that trail - and maybe in the last 5 years someone has!

This is a truly amazing video the views and the narration were superb. Possibly the best video on KZbin showcasing what the North Cascades are truly like. This really gets me excited for the summer. I hope to see the pickets one day myself!

Thanks Nolan - lots of great photographers out in the Pickets but not a lot of videos - though checkout the High Route on the Northface’s channel - some amazing footage there of an amazing traverse. The Pickets are wild but amazing.

Dude such a cool route! The Pickets look out of this world, very well captured here. I hope to summit something in there eventually, this route was seriously ambitious and I’m so glad you guys pulled it off. I’m sure that last mile off Ross lake was terrible 😂

Wow! The traverse from Dip Top Gap to the outlet of Pea Soup Lake looked sketchy in one part. 5:51 you can see the whole bench of talus just eroding into the lake.
