Thank you so much! Haha, I do think this is a very unique and broken level. Even more so now that it's possible to start a run here in ghost mode and finish the level without ghost mode. This is the only level to date where it's possible to do so.

There are two missions you need to clear beforehand in order to gain access this mission. The first one is called "A Promise Made". After exorcising Jari-Pekka and deafening Dark Moray, go to Holoska and talk to him during the night to access "A Promise Made". The second mission is called "A Promise More". After Clearing "A Promise Made", go to the world map, then come back and talk to Jari-Pekka. For this mission, he'll need you to go to the shop in Apotos to buy some pitch nuts. After clearing "A Promise More", go to the World Map, come back to Holoska, and talk to Jari-Pekka during the day to access the "Love is Jerky" mission.

🤔I wasn't able to pull off the DR2 basic timesaver I uploaded along with the DR2-2 basic timesavers, so I think I stopped looking into things after that. I can't recall if I attempted things for this level on Series. I'll give things a try. Thank you!

Thank you! Definitely, I had wondered and had been looking for a way for sub 2 to be possible for a long time. What Orko said is correct. I didn't think the ready go glitch was possible while in ghost mode. I had tried to trigger the cutscene of the first titan room from out of bounds on the left side of the door (this is possible as the werehog without ghost mode) a couple of times, but I kept falling when trying to land to the left of the door out of bounds. I don't know if I kept falling because I didn't jump close enough to the wall, or maybe some other difference because I was day Sonic. I later found 3 other different locations where you can trigger the ready go glitch in ghost mode after I got this run. Two of the locations don't seem to trigger the cutscene consistently. But the final titan room cutscene works very well for me.

@@sa-jk9zn I see that's so interesting. I guess that means the time can still go down a fair bit. Is this the third level now that uses ghost mode or is there more than that now?

@@shore7154 This can indeed go down a decent amount. My fastest Eggmanland time currently is 01:55:58 and that time was also achieved without using the ready go glitch. That run had 00:59:75 on the clock after the transformation in the hourglass room. I've had attempts using the ready go glitch with 00:53:XX on the clock after the transformation. That's about a 6 second difference, so I think a sub 1:50 Eggmanland run should be possible. Maybe a 00:52:XX hourglass or lower could even be possible. The other levels I'm aware of that can be completed with ghost mode are Arid Sands Day Act 1, Jungle Joyride Day Act 3, and Windmill Isle Night Act 1. Eggmanland is a special case because the effects of ghost mode get canceled when you activate an hourglass. So the run starts out in ghost mode, but ends without it. Maybe more levels are possible. I'll link ghost mode runs of the three other levels I mentioned earlier in a separate comment. Just in case the links could cause this comment not to show up or something.

I may not have the best explanation, but I can try to explain. Ghost mode is a glitch that seems to occur when you go out of bounds far enough in a level. The distance may vary depending on the level and out of bounds location. And I think the distance can be horizontal or vertical. When ghost mode is active, Sonic doesn't lose a life when passing through death barriers/planes. For example, if ghost mode wasn't active in this run, the jump at 0:28 wouldn't have been possible since there's a death plane in that area. I would have lost a life. Sonic goes through rings and other objects for the most part as well. I would sometimes take damage from the pink lasers throughout the level or the blades(?) around 0:36. But thankfully, you can still collect rings by boosting. It was only possible for me to grind on rails in ghost mode if I was boosting while making contact with a rail. Ghost mode was only active in this run up until I activated the hourglass at 1:02. Activating an hourglass in Eggmanland cancels the effects of ghost mode. I do too, that skip is awesome. I'm really glad ghost mode is useful for Eggmanland. Yeah, I was surprised when I saw this was sub 2 at the results screen because I got second try GTW and also lost some time in the final room. My previous record was a 2:04 with bigger mistakes. So I really wasn't sure what to expect at the results screen in this run.

Thank you! I've had an attempt where I activated the hourglass with 58 seconds on the timer, so it's possible to save around at least 2 seconds in the day segment. I'm sure less time can be spent positioning Sonic at 0:47. Not sure how much time save there, though. I landed a little further from the room at 0:59 than I should have. It's possible to clip out of the hourglass room on the side of the room opposite of the door. That should save some time, but I can't do that consistently. I also sacrifice some time by unpausing the game before the hourglass transformation finishes. I do this because the camera gets glitched the vast majority of the time if you pause for the whole transformation and things are easier for me when the camera isn't glitched. I also lost some time in the final titan room and the titan RNG placement/movement could have been better. It's hard for me to say how low exactly this could go. But with the same exact strategies used in this run , maybe as low as 1:56 or 1:55?

Thanks a lot!! Believe it or not, this run felt easier to get than my most recent non ghost mode run. Probably the biggest reason for this is because I had to spend 1 to 2 minutes between each attempt to activate that glitch that allows Sonic to move before the timer starts. Not fun 😵. The new pipe skip strategies also might be easier with ghost mode. My opinion is biased since I haven't been grinding attempts with the new ghost mode stuff as long I've been grinding without them, but currently, it feels like these new timesavers made things easier overall.

@@sa-jk9zn These new timesavers make the difference, i still can't believe the run was actualy easier but i guess practicing alot do make things alot easier especially for really good runs, for the ghost mode you still practice and potentialy find faster saver, overalll congrats Sa it is really impressive !!!
