Hi my mazda cx9 2012 overheating because of water pump malfunction, so the mecanique change it, and the timing chain as well, but I still have the engine light on. Can you tell me please what could be the problem?

Nice video thank you. I need to replace mine on my 2011 ecoboost. can you tell me what tool will fit back there to take out those bolts? did you just use a socket with 8 mm?

Best video on replacing the vacuum pump. Honestly, worst job I've ever done, it's such a pain getting back there. Lost 4 bolts already.

So if those two ears are not lined up, the vacuum pump won't function? Just installed a new vacuum pump and didn't realize those ears had to be lined up with the cylinder head or something. Still a major misfire and no suction from the vacuum pump. What else can it be.
@shanecasteel82027 ай бұрын
Those two tabs have to be lined up with the cam shaft to function properly. You may need to double check your installation to ensure proper operation.

Okay and then also. What would make the driver side Cadillac converter hot and the passenger side cold... Wouldn't have anything to do with the vacuum pump would it n are the intake camshaft positioning timing or sensor

Anybody know where I can get that center brass pin for the vacuum pump. It had fallen off into the hole on the engine block and to get another one you have to buy the whole unit. If someone could find me one, I will play extra to have one overnight shipped. Thanks everyone! Rob in Minnesota

I have a problem that the scanner reported, but I see that the air doesn't work. code b2610-000 compartment dimming 1 circuit. I bought a 2012 Chevrolet traverse with a “new” sound and the original one came too, but this new radio doesn't work, could this code be because they removed the original radio and put in a newer, more up-to-date one? In addition to this code, there were others (BCM) u0184-00 lost communication with radio, (EBCM) system disabled information stored invalid serial data received

I know what I'll be doing this weekend. I just noticed a faint wiff of burning oil coming thru the AC vents in my 2013 F150. Took a look under the hood and saw oil residue on the passenger side bell housing from above. I've been looking at youtube videos and it doesn't seem like too much to handle. Thanks for the tutorial!

For clarification, if it isn't lined up with the Camshaft will the pump not go back in? As in, you wont be able to get the pump on properly if you do not line it up? Or is there the risk that it will be installed incorrectly if it isn't lined up?

The white tab on the vacuum line everyone breaks is because they are trying to push it up. Pry down on it and pull on the vacuum tube and it comes right apart.

Did you torque your bolts? I'm afraid of hand tightening for fear of snapping off the bolts but I dont have a torque wrench small enough for this tight space.
@shanecasteel820211 ай бұрын
No I didn’t torque bolts down. I’ve been doing this a long time. I have a natural feel for when the bolts are tight enough. Usually a little tighter than they need to be. If you can get a torque wrench in there and feel more comfortable with that I’d suggest you do that. It definitely can’t hurt. I hope this helps.
@randycrumbaugh470811 ай бұрын
@@shanecasteel8202 thank you for the reply. I couldn’t find a torque wrench small enough so I hand tightened them. Just waiting on the Petex to set up before I run it and check for leaks.

How much time should i wait to drive again or after the 24 hour cure time
@shanecasteel8202 Жыл бұрын
It depends on what kind of sealer you used. Typically a good sealer would be semi cured after a couple of hours. The sealer I use is cured after about 45 minutes.

Thanks for helping to fill in a few blanks on the install for me. A lot of the videos I've seen have said the pump itself starts leaking out the back side and it's best to swap the whole thing. What's been your experience?
@shanecasteel8202 Жыл бұрын
I’ve only had to replace a couple of pumps the were actually leaking. I usually clean it thoroughly with brake clean,test drive and then inspect it with a mechanic mirror to see if it’s the actual pump or their O ring. I typically don’t have a problem verifying which one is leaking. It is possible for the pump to leak. Good luck,I hope this helps.
@danrao3707 Жыл бұрын
Great job and tips Shane. I was going to replace the whole pump assembly but it looks like I might get away with just buying the O ring and gasket maker. Also my 13 looks like I have less room between the pump and firewall. I can barely get my hand behind it. I hope I don't need to remove the front wheel and fender liner to access it from below like I seen in other videos.
@shanecasteel8202 Жыл бұрын
Thank you,I appreciate the kind words. I’m not aware of much of a difference in the cab design. It is a somewhat tight fit. Two of the three bolts are fairly easy to reach. It’s actually fairly easy to remove the inner fender well if you choose to go that route. I have to remove those all the time to replace the exhaust manifold in those trucks. 5.5 millimeter bolts and some retainer clips and it out of the way. Good luck and if you’re a little patient,you can do it.
