Thank you sir for your video, you solved my problem . I've the same issue . CX9 2016 no indicator only the check engine sign . In the computer it shows cam shift sensor . After 3 months struggling to find out the exact issue and after seeing your video i changed the water pump and the check engine sign is cleared . Fully respect to your steering

Thanks for the video. I also have a check engine light on and the diagnostic tells me it’s the PCM but I also see some liquid leaking form somewhere I haven’t tracked it down yet. Any chance you could post an in depth how to video on how to replace water pump?

Where is your shop located? I have Mazda 2007 cx9 and engine light on need to be checked it was shaking a little too and it leaking lil oil. I have just over 100k miles and want to keep it as buying new car now is tuff.

hello sir my wife's car is a Mazda 2012 CX-9 and she had the exact same code that you had P0016, so the engine light came on and she got the car scanned she said that the car would make a grinding noise when she would make left or right turns and the car stalled out yesterday. after we got it towed, we started the car up again and it did actually run a little bit we didn't want to keep driving it and make it worse I'm waiting to get to my mechanic in a couple of days but wanted to get your feedback if changing out the solenoid is a good idea. It would definitely be worth check the solenoids. There are several things that make the system work properly. It would definitely be worth while to do a thorough diagnostic to properly repair the vehicle while not wasting money. Good luck,I hope your mechanic can accurately diagnose it.

I'm wondering if I'm having the same issue, I've changed to cam and crank sensor, I can smell coolant slightly but it's not run warm any

It is a possibility. Unfortunately the only way to inspect the water pump is a full tear down and inspection. If you are adding coolant look for any visual leaks. If no leaks are found pull the engine oil dipstick and see if engine oil looks like chocolate milk. If it looks like chocolate milk,suspect a water pump failure.

I have code p0018. Replaced actuator solenoid. Same code. Could this be a possibility?

Yes,it is a vey likely possibly. Sounds like it may need a tear down and inspection. Good luck!
