I don’t mind social settings or mingling. The struggle is knowing how & when to chime in. I’m in my head on coming across awkward. You’d think that would turn me off to social settings, but I want to fit in & don’t mind the interactions, even if I stay quiet.

I just did a personality test and it came out as INTP. It really describes me to a T. I’m not a genius, but I have so great ideas. Sadly, I never know how to follow through. I’m trying to change. I have now set a goal, to start a company creating a new product. First step is to learn how a company works. I already know how the finished product should look. Just need to find investors to get it started. That part I really don’t know how to do. Cause I don’t like asking others for help. I feel like a brain in a jar. Procrastination is my biggest weakness.

Because of life challenges, I've developped both taste and usage of Te early (before adulthood). Looking for pragmatic functionality was a natural conclusion I've made when I realised being a nice and positive person wasn't enough to fulfill and agreable life. I've so much respect for Te. Before I deep dived into MBTI, I was convinced being an STJ ~ ESFJ

Okay, there are some great things here that a lot of people don't talk about, such as Si's contribution to Ne, so good job on that. That said, some of these statements are pretty far off from the truth. While we Ne users don't not want to be desired, I really don't think that something like that is necessarily in the cognitive domain of Ne. Changing oneself in order to be desirable, and giving people what they want from you, sound much more like Fe characteristics. Ne may be used in order to win people over somehow, but it's a perceiving function. It handles the how, much more than the why. Plus, it is primarily paired with either Fi or Ti, introverted judging functions that make personal judgements, and are largely in opposition to catering to the judgements of others. As for always asking people what they want and neglecting to figure out our own path, it's not that we don't ask ourselves. If anything, we're constantly exploring those kinds of questions. It's just that we have way too much imagination to really stick with any single option for very long, before the urge to return to brainstorming wins out. And again, the way that you described it sounds much more like Fe. Granted, ENTPs in particular could be susceptible to the influence of Fe, but Ne itself doesn't deal in people-pleasing. Ne's extroverted nature does denote an external, potentially social focus, but as a perceiving function, it seeks to interact with external information, not influence external judgments. Anyway, conflating functions like that was too much of a glaring issue to just let it slide, but thank you for making this video. As a whole, pretty good stuff.

So I am dating an ENTJ right now and everything seemed to be perfect, and he showed his affection via gifts and compliments but suddenly he is super busy at work and will leave the country for a half month. I got one text message from him a day now and I feel super sad, dissapointed and I never expected this behaviour from him. So I really need to know how i should react and behave because I dont want to lose him but at the same time, I have to protect my feelings. ?

4:10 "The relative low demand for INTPs..." Can we assume that this is as a romantic partner amongst the population at large or as a potential employee in the job market? Vocationally speaking, INTPs have never had it better. They have lots of well paid options. Romantically, true. Most people do not aspire to pair up with a geek who spends most of their time writing more efficient code. However, female INTPs are wildly in demand amongst geek males as there are more male INTPs than female INTPs.

The ISTPs mentioned are typed, with the exception of Michael Jordan, as many other personalities. For once Princess Diana is considered by most people an INFP. Not that there's a way to determine that since she's dead. Justin Bieber is far too extroverted to be an ISTP. He doesn't even write his own lyrics like Eminem. Well, I guess, anyone can say whatever on KZbin.

I don't think the Fi trickster is that difficult. It's easy enough to gauge by several different metrics someone's net worth logically and emotionally to loved one's and predict one's actions based on your own. As for setting prices the market does that for you, it's not just the ENTP, other types who run a business do the same thing, see what your competitor is doing or see what the market will bear. If you don't have that or if it's a new product you do product surveys, often other types who just set random prices or go on gut will find themselves in a difficult market position when they are too high or too low like in the office when Michael started his own paper company but they didn't do the costs correctly and were bleeding money.

As an ENTJ woman, can confirm. I get along great with INTPs and some of my closest friends are INTPs; however, when it comes to dating I tend to have a lot of chemistry with ISTPs and ISFPs. I’ve sworn off INFPs likely for good at this point.
