They're great pets to handle, just like crested geckos! Just a heads-up, though - make sure they don’t cohabitate. Each one needs their own space to thrive! 😊

The thing is, for the most part, there really isn’t a huge issue with loose substrate as long as they aren’t ingesting a ton of it. They may ingest a bit as they’re exploring because they lick a lot, but A few grains of sand or dirt isn’t going to hurt them, otherwise there’d be none left in the wild. The problem usually comes when they’re eating. If the bugs are in the dirt and they’re a terrible hunter, they’re much more likely to consume a harmful amount of substrate. My own leo lives on dirt and is just fine. I just make sure that when she’s eating, it’s in a dish, outside the tank at times even, where there’s no chance she’ll accidentally eat the substrate.

Aww, Lizy sounds like quite the character! 😅 Sometimes geckos can be picky about food, even when it’s right in front of them. Have you tried offering different types of feeders or giving her some extra calcium and UVB? That might help her feel a bit better! 😊

Without D3 is the way to go. Just dust your feeders when it’s time for a boost. Geckos like their calcium plain!

No dust the food with the vitamins and calcium. But do not put vitamins in the enclosure it can lead to them having to mutch of it and can make them sick
