I was given a Sav monitor hatchling years and years ago. Vet bills alone exceeded 3500. Then there was the enclosure, 1500, dirt, lighting and tons of bugs & nightcrawlers & other prey items. Most expensive gift I've ever received. Had him many years though and was totally worth the expenses but could have had a nice Tegu or other monitor for a fraction of the cost.

We are sorry to hear that your gecko is not eating. Is your gecko newly purchase? Look out for tails. If leopard gecko tails are chubby, then it means they could be either ovulating or not hungry. Chubby tail is a good sign of health. That’s where they store all the nutritions when they hibernate. Usually, thin tails are a sign of sickness and not in good condition.
