Hell yeah!! The song that definitely got me into Mithras and also one of my favorite! What type of loop setup is used live? As the only guitar player in my band, I've been pondering the idea of using a loops but not exactly sure what to get.

The ending reminds me too much of Woe by an Abstract Illusion and, because I heard that one earlier, I can't not hear it 😅 It's not the same, but that buzzing sound is and I just imagine the other song. Woe is also an amazing album, so comparing these is a good thing 😁

Hey Nicola. Rayner quit Mithras twice (in 2008 then in 2016) both times when we had live shows planned. In 2016 he announced he was leaving at short notice after telling me he couldn't find any time to learn lyrics, or practice bass at all and also couldn't commit to the shows we had booked. We tried to find a solution for him to stay including getting a separate bass player but he didn't want to as he then said the vocals were causing him headaches. Reading between the lines I think he found playing the newer material very hard live and also didn't enjoy live shows as it took him away from his work and family, which is fair enough. When we worked on the albums in the studio it was possible to do unlimited takes and record everything in little bits to get the best result but to do it in one go at rehearsal or onstage live is a totally different thing altogether and takes a huge amount of practice and dedication which not everyone can manage.

Sarpanitum album 3 is in the works but i am unable to drum right now due to a back injury which is not getting better. Hopefully there'll be an update at some point!
