I cannot approve your lack of an Oxford comma. Otherwise, excellent tutorial!

Great overview. I have a similar need to use the Calculate(Average(Filter(Summarize ... combination; however, I notice that the total section disappears with this type of an approach. I have region beakdowns in my data so i create average weekly breakdowns per region; however, I would like to see the total average per week a national level as well. is there a way to achieve this??

Great stuff thanks for the clear and easy to follow breakdown of the options.

Shame MSFT didn't build this into PowerQuery. Why does something like that have to be so hard? In Python it's so simple!

Hey Mitchell. I have to say, this is the best and most relevant set of Data Factory videos I could find on KZbin. Great work! Thank you so much for putting in the effort, being succinct, and helping folks like me. Appreciate it!

This is the best Virtual table demo I've used and got me over the hump. I've been fighting this problem by burdening my model with helper tables in power query. This approach with DAX will level me up to take advantage of measures and the correct row context. THANK YOU!

Excellent examples and explanations. But I have a problem working with Matrix visualisation and using 3-4 level grouping + calculating average values. At the row level everything is fine, but in the final totals and subtotals depending on the level of expanding madness happens. Examples with more complex situations that happen in a real environment would be great.

Thank you Mitchell for this, and communicating the steps to make it work. I have been working in Power Query via Excel, and was struggling to find the "Add Tables from Example" when returning webdata. My search brought me to this page looking for help with power query in Excel, and. I think for others, it's worth noting that this this feature is NOT in Power Query for Excel, only Power BI. Love your videos, love your training style, and I am a Pragmatics works fan, after one of your classes. Keep up the great work!

Much to like, but why does every Logic App presenter think they have to avoid the 80% use case -- uploading a blob to Azure Storage and triggering an ADF pipeline to put the data into Azure SQL? I seriously could not care less about all these specialty corner cases -- tweets, record-level SQL events, things that happen out on the Great Wild Web... it's all just distraction me. 🙂
