Should check the spindle for play before fiddling with the runout.

Thanks for the demo. Also, ignore the comments criticizing the music. I don’t hear so well and I hear you just fine. I’m certainly not distracted by it. 🤷🏽♂️👊🏾 A few years ago I owned a large tow behind stump grinder. I used this idea to sharpen the carbide cutters. It worked great.

I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzbin.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

The greatest killer of drill bits is heat especially M35 & M42 Cobalt drill bits so cutting fluid is critical, granted not a steady flow but at least intermittent reapplication at the very least. Also the type of steel really determines the use & volume of coolant/cutting fluid, hardened, Spring or Stainless steel you should always use cutting fluid.
@crashedking1931 Жыл бұрын
I know this is an old post but how do you stop the coolant from rusting your table and other parts.

Sir, I 100 % agree with you. If you don't like wear at your Phillips Tips, take a closer look at PB Swiss Tools, or Wera with the Orange Handle 💫

Great idea. The Harbor Freight 9 Amp Circular Saw Blade Sharpener comes complete with the same diamond wheel plus it has a factory installed eye guard. I stripped off the circular saw holder and it is done. No machining involved. Total price $55. I also purchased the same replacement blade.🤞

Were you hearing some kinda "slapping" before any gear left ya? I'm getting some slapping now. Kinda curious to if my smf bolts backed out somehow. As I have a stage 5 6 puck disk installed, and have a new stage 2 (way less aggressive) disk to install. Which is in my BMW 330ci. Getrag 220g... Hoping the best as it's only been manual swapped since August.
@JKGarageBMW Жыл бұрын
No, no noises - this was on a 100% stock m50TU E34 w/ stock Getrag 250 trans. The puck clutches will definitely have a slapping noise while engaging, but other than that you shouldn't have any issues. I was sliding this car and dumped a wheel in a pothole and 2nd gear was just completely gone. I still have the trans to open and see what happened.
@Kraxt0n Жыл бұрын
@@JKGarageBMW yes, I'm aware of the slap when clutch is being engaged. But this is during natural at round 1500rpm. Happens at higher rpm as well. I'm hoping it's the clutch disk warped somehow. As I have a new oem disk. As I can still stomp the throttle down and it'll get. And spin, but I haven really clutch dumped since the noise came about. Shifting is fine as well. So thus my confusion. I suppose I'll know when removed if there's an issue staring me in the face or if it's for sure inside the trans. Found a 330i 5sp wrecked near me for 1,000 us. Dude don't have it listed so, I may purchase for the zf trans and extra goodies it has.

The dial gauge you are using, each increment is 0.001 one thou, not 0.0001 one tenth of a thou.. it’s written on the dial face.. >| |< 0.001 inch
@easternarmory76172 жыл бұрын
Each tick mark is .001 inches, ie. 1/1000 of an inch, not 1/10,000 as you suggested

From other videos that I’ve watched, the setup step requires that you index the chuck to a particular slot associated with the desired angle. Is this not the case?

I bought an expensive Wiha non contact voltage detector. When I got home, I took a close look at it and saw in very small print barely visible Made in China. Not bloody happy. Ripped off.

Was it from a big box store in the US? If so, there is a line of Wiha being distributed that is chinese made and I agree.
